I have never rode on gravel , however in the last year I have found a
great deal of stone chips on my 2008 , 1800 goldwing trike , my roadsmith kit
is only a year old. Is there a clear protective coating out there that will stop
chipping.

Yes! There is a product made of Mylar, a tough clear plastic that can be warmed and fitted around curves etc. Any body supply house should have more info & likely other similar products. This stuff really works!
thanks Bladerunner I will have to look into that coating , need to
do something or won't have any paint left .
I have the 3M clear plastic coating on my fenders, and it works wonderfully! I didn't feel up to tackling applying it and smoothing it out around all the curves my trike fender has, but a local shop that does window tinting and paint protection, etc. did a wonderful job applying it for me, and they have the product in-house already.

I also have to look into this! My RS conversion is still brand new with no chips (yet) so I'll be calling some shops in my local area.
Thanks for bringing this topic to the forum!
+1 on the 3M film, I have it on my TG. I went to a speciality car shop to have it installed.
