Trike mouting

Being as my and I are new to riding a trike we are wondering the easiest way to get on and off of the trike. I must also tell you that the trike has an extended windshield on it which makes it a little harder to get on and off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Very good video! However, I have weight bearing foot fairings and have removed the driver foot pegs.
Mounting from the left, I place my left foot on the passenger foot rest and step over, placing my right foot on the foot fairing, transfer my left foot to the foot fairing and sit down.
My wife places her left foot on the left passenger foot rest, left hand on my shoulder, right hand on the back rest, steps her right leg over her seat onto the right passenger foot rest, places her right hand on my right shoulder and sits down.
Reverse of above for for dismount.

if i had that much problem getting on and off i would look seriously at one of the V.W based trikes. i once had a trike shop roadhawk that sat so low that you only had to lift your foot about 15 inches to step over it and sit down. once in the seat there just wasn't anything else as comfortable on a long ride -- miss that bike sometimes.

I use a variation of the YouTube video. to favor my right leg. Back to left side of bike, left foot on passenger board, left hand on top of rear speaker, right hand on straightened handlebar. Using those three, boost myself up and lean back on passenger backrest. Swing right leg over, sit on passenger seat. Push forward onto drivers seat. It's not a problem once I figured it out, and it keeps my right leg pretty straight and unloaded.

Only needed if you need to favor one leg or a knee. Otherwise the YouTube method would be fine.

I think it may depend on what type of trike you have.In my case I have a 2006 H.D. Electra Glide-2011 Motortrike conversion.I mount from the left side,by turning the handle bars slightly to the right.Then I step with my left foot onto the drivers floorboard (rear half ) and then lift my right leg over the drivers seat in front of the backrest place my foot on right floorboard while sitting down. I hope this helps you.

on my latest trike I sit in the seat, push lever to swivel to front, easy even for a decrepid old fart like me, LOL
