Re: Whats your July 4th Plans?
At my sisters house in Mississippi. It is located on a 700acre lake. and the house is built over the water. We have been fishing twice, had a cookout with the neighbors yesterday and going to have a cookout today. going fishing again tonight.
Everyone have a safe and happy 4th.

Neighborhood party/fish fry/cookout/fireworks yesterday, and hanging out on the bay this evening with neighbors, watching fireworks displays from several locations across the bay. We love our fireworks!

I know you find it hard to believe, but I will pop a top for for this country, so I"m doing the traditional American tribute with a PBR. (Pabst Blue Ribbon beer for those west of the Mississippi)

Re: Whats your July 4th Plans?
Had a Blue Knights cookout here at the farm by the pool. Just plain sleepy now. May do the fireworks tonight if we can stay awake. Too much sun and fun. It's hell getting old, but fun too!

We have to work, out of state Camp Lejuene so i do not get to be with my family.
I opened and measured sewer manholes all day, so my 4th stunk . But the pay is good, double time and a half, and it beats being laid off.

Re: Whats your July 4th Plans?
Just got home from a PGR ride for a fallen soldier. 21 yrs old, left wife and two small girls. From a little town, and the entire area turned out for the services in the local high school gym.
We then escorted the family to a cemetary in the next town (17 miles) for another flag line at the grave site. Had a little over 120 riders holding flags, and the motorcycle escort was 1 1/2 miles long, two abreast. Passed through two little towns, and the highway was lined with people waving flags.
Kansas and Oklahoma patrol cooperated for police escort for the entire service, and the @#%$^&#@*&?? Reverand Phelps from Topeka made his presence known, but was kept at least a mile away during everything. I am sunbaked, tired, dried out and completely washed out, but it was well worth the effort. Very moving service, and the number of people who thanked us personally for being there had to warm your heart.
After I watch the local town fireworks tonight, I will fall in bed after a very satisfying Fourth. Happy 4th to you all, and God Bless America!
