    Question Walther 9mm PPS

Thinking about picking up the Walther 9mm PPS. Felt real good in the hand and is small enough to carry concealed. Any opinions either way?

There are smaller ones on the market but I have that same model and like it a lot. Depends on what I am wearing as to which I carry. LcP or Walter

I think it's a great weapon. Low jam, easy conceal and more juice than a 380. What I like about it most is it's not too "small" I'm a big guy with big hands... I hate tiny guns!

I would rather carry a hand canon than a pea shooter any day

I have it in a .40 and it is my favorite weapon.
It is a little hard to get magazines for it.
    But it is worth it.

May be a little late getting in on this but I just now saw the discussion. I've been carrying a Walther PPS in 9mm for several years. It just fits my average-size hand, packs a decent punch (Hornady 147 gr. ammo) and has a larger capacity than the .40. I have, and have tried, several other carry weapons. This one seems to be the best, at least for me - light weight, thin profile and as accurate as any.

I still haven't purchased it but it's definitely the one I'm going to get. I haven't heard one negative comment about it!

I think it is a nice handling pistol, even with my very small hands. I don't own one, but my daughter carries one and it is her favorite conceal carry. She is nice enough to let me fire it on the range if I let her do the same with my S&W Ladysmith

Lol,,, Mother & Daughter switch off,

Yeah Nana. As I mentioned all I've heard about the PPS are excellent reviews. I have a few 1911's and some single action revolvers. This 9MM Walther will definitely be the last pistol I'll buy. That's why I wanted to make sure it was the best choice. It obviously is.

Both are grreat guns. The main difference is that the PPS is thinner. "PPS" stands for Police Pistol Slim. Most of thhe PPS is 1" thick. In one place it is 1.1" thick - still not very thick even at its widest point. Makes it a good carry gun because it doesn't print.

    Default Pps love

I have the .40 and the 9mm. I got extra mags from an internet store called Top Gun Supply. I like the 9, don't much care for the 40. Too snappy for arthur in the hands.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

sully I have American derringer in 45 long colt/ 410-3" barrel,,,,

I have carried for 20 some years off and on great little gun!!! full power long colt's are a hand full,,, but 410 don't have the recoil of the colts- slow burning powder??.... its all you need for up to about 12 feet much more and it takes me to long to squeeze one off and hit anything- so I load 410 first then long colt for follow up shot.. can't go to range without someone wanting to shoot it!!

I have a PPK in .380. Nice gun, very loud, but what isn't. Have not tried the gun in 9mm. Changed to the Glock. Never thought I'd own a Glock, but now I have 3 of them. The 27 in 40 cal., the 43 in 9mm, and the 42 in .380. Have been carrying the 43 more than any. The 43 feels great, shoots great and is a good carry gun. Have put night sights on all three and have done a trigger job on the 43.
Just saying I don't think you could go wrong with the Walther.

For my light carry, it's a S&W Bodyguard 380 / with a Laser and pocket holster.

I sold my sig P938 today. It just was not what I wanted after I bought it.

I have a glock 26, 9mm and a glock 42, 380. Wife has a sig p238, 380. I am looking at the Glock 43. What did you do to the trigger? I have the glock 26 all slicked up with a 3 lb trigger. It is just a little heavy with the double stack for CC. Jim

My EDC is a Glock 27, easy to conceal and a dependable weapon. For open carry a Glock 19 or my 1911.

I've carried an assortment of pistols over the last five years or so: Kimber Ultra CDP II 45acp,S&W 637 Airweight 38spec snubbie w/Crimson Trace,Ruger LCP w/Crimson Trace, and a Sig p938 Nightmare 9mm. Believe it or not,my favorite is the LCP in a Recluse pocket holster. I've since sold the Kimber and Sig so I'm now looking at either a Ruger LC9s Pro or maybe a Glock 26 or 43. Am not a big pistol fan as I probably should be.
