Ridin' with mtn rider today.....

Mitzie and I met up with TRIKE TALK.com Member mtn rider and His "Bazooka Built" VTX1800 Trike at Krogers on Wears Valley Road in Pigeon Forge.....



We proceeded to head to Carvers Orchard for Lunch out on Hwy 32 with mtn rider giving me a whole new appreciation for Hwy 339. Having ridden the two ends in the past, He showed me the "middle" is the absolute best part. We arrived and I had Chicken-n-Dumplings, Pinto Beans, Cole Slaw, and Cornbread.....



OOooooops, guess I shoulda' took the Pic sooner.....He led us on several really entertaining roads that included some Steep Inclines, Great Views, and one of my Personal Favorites, some Gravel Road...here are some Pics.....

Not to high jack the thread, whats the easiest way to find this road? we are in Pigeon Forge for a couple of days before we go to Maggie Valley, so we would like to try it.

That gravel road looked pretty awesome, but when you are on two wheels, like my hubby, I never ride gravels! LOL

Most fun way is to go toward Gatlinburg, take the Bypass around/above Gatlinburg over to the Vistors Center, turn right onto Little River Road, turn right at the Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area, cross the Narrow Bridge, turn right onto Gravel Road to School (deadends there). When You get back to the Stop Sign turn right, turn right onto Wears Valley Road at the Stop Sign....this will bring You back into Pigeon Forge.....


Annette, I love Gravel Roads more on 2-wheelers more than my Trike....easier to miss the potholes...a little "powersliding" is Fun.....!!!
