Frankenstein trike converter

Hey everyone!
New to this site, I've never owned a trike before, I'm thinking of converting my 2010 Road King using the Frankenstein trike converter. How many of you here have a Frankenstein trike? I'd love to know if you love it, hate it, how they handle, turning, backing up, etc. Please fill me in!!!

Hello and welcome! I recently converted my wife's sportster to a Frankenstein Trike and love it. The craftsmanship, quality and customer support are outstanding as well. Prior to the conversion, I searched relentlessly to determine the best conversion for our application, and Frankenstein won hands down. Their kit is easy to install and the on road handling qualities are very nice. Add raked triple trees and steering through curves will be near effortless. While you can get the trike on two wheels if you really try hard enough, the open differential allows the wheel not in contact to spin thus slowing you down and somewhat self correcting. Backing up is easier than a two-wheeler because all your leverage is directed aft without the need to balance the bike. Even though the trike was for her, I can't seem to stay off of it (granted I have to ride it at night to hide all that purple, pink and bling!) as it adds so much more fun to the riding experience. No doubt you will go through the twisties quicker as well.

I spent one year contemplating the conversion and wish I would have did it long ago.

I converted by 1991 FLT with Frankie kit. Very high quality and good support. I am picky mechnically and my only complaint is there is no precise mechanical method (like axle adjusters on stock swingarm) to adjust rear axle alignment for belt alignment and belt tension. You have to twist axle when loose in swingarm and tighten when you think you have it correct. Takes several tries and I finally had to adjust with shocks disconnected to get correct and then install shocks after swingarm bolts tightened. I would buy again. It handles very well in curves, has easily found Ford parts, and the aluminum rear end only weights about 80 pounds.

My local dealership likes to buy used HD bikes, clean 'em up, and put Frankenstein kits on them. Right now they have a Vrod trike and a Softail Deluxe trike on the floor.

I like to check them out all the time. My wife looks really good on the Softail.

They appear to use quallity components and look to be engineered quite well.

I have a 2001 HD screaming eagle with the frankenstien kit and I love it I get so many compliments about it,also no complants at all

I was going to convert my softail to a franky but my wife talked me out of it to buy a freewheeler for the storage. As usual I should have listened to myself and done the franky. there is nothing said about them but good things. I have never heard of any one having a breakdown
