Thank You TRIKE TALK...New Rack...

THANKS to the TRIKE TALK Family, we recieved an Alloy Rear Rack for Our (HER) Gold Wing Trike at the TRIKE TALK RALLY IN THE VALLEY V. Since Our (HER) Trike didn't have a Trailer Hitch, I ordered the Trailer Hitch Components from MOTOR TRIKE. They came in while we were in The Smokies last weekend, so I installed Everything this morning...GREAT Fit, and will come in really handy on extended Trips like next year's TRIKE TALK RALLY 2013 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas........Here are some finished Pics.....

THANKS.....Yep, should be able to carry several days worth of "supplies" for Two Folks now....Top Rack, Top Trunk, Lower Trunk, Trailer Hitch Rack....we're "Light Packers" anyway......

Skuut: The Rack looks great. Where did you get it from? And how heavy is it? I have similar one but it weighs abt 25# from E-Trailers.com. Am concerned about using it. Have a smaller one fabricated by Meredog. I got that one a Pelican case & it's good for me on multiday trips. But too small for Wifey & me. I've been trying to find an alloy / aluminium rack for ages now.

The rack was donated by one of our members as a door prize. I honestly don't know what company/manufacturer it came from. I will PM you the member's name, skuuter, and you can follow up on that.

Skuuter, was that hitch from motor trike a bolt on kit or weld on?
I was thinking about making one, but if they have a bolt on , fairly cheap, i may be interested.

It's a Bolt On Kit...my Honda Dealer here ordered it for me, around $125...it attaches to the Frame with the same Bolts that fastens the Trunk Floor down to the Frame. It took a tick less than an hour to install. Pretty straight forward. It comes with everything needed including a 1 7/8 Trailer Ball.....
