My First Video

Handlebar mounted GoPro Hero2 HD. It was mounted too close to the fairing so the fairing shows up and the mike picks up the wind off the fairing along with the tunes from the speakers. I used Windows Movie Maker to clip several minutes. I plan to get some better editing software. I have the mount problem figured out. I have a RAM 2 section and used the shorter section. Next time out I'll use the longer section and it should clear the fairing. Maybe it won't help with the wind noise but I may start dubbing music.

Thanks for the Ride! I really enjoyed it! I wasn't able to ride today, so this just "made my day!" I felt just like I was driving all the way. But, now I'm lost and I'll never find my way back! Ha!! The camera did a fine job. I want one!!! Tell us a little more about it and even where you bought it. Good job. Owen.

I bought it from Amazon. I'll get some good photos of it on my trike in the daylight tomorrow.

The camera comes with a case with 2 backs. 1 back has a couple of slots in the back and is recommended for speeds to 100 mph. That's the one I used today. The other is solid for speeds over 100. I'll try it out also to see if I can get the engine, road and music sounds without the wind.

I tried the longer section of the RAM mount and though only a couple of inches longer it did vibrate too much. I also tried the solid back of the case and got a strange whistling noise. Back to the original mount I guess. The camera came with a big suction cup you can use on the fairing but I'm a bit leery of it. I did read in one of the forums that a GW rider used it with a safety lanyard so I might give that a try. Unless I get some artwork on the fairing. I can also mount it on the crash bar but then the front wheel is in the video.

Here's the little camera in my hand and the longer mount that vibrates too much.

This was taken with a $39.00 video camera from Wallgreens . I held it to the antenna with elastic bands

Also notice clarity of my windshield . F4 .. There are times it almost disappears .
