Pretty soon Mother nature will make this riding season a thing of the past, so I decided to take advantage of a rain free day. I always love riding in Pennsylvania, my favorite road is RT6. I decided 43 degrees was plenty warm enough to set out on a ride to Warren PA.
I grabbed a quick bite to eat while in Warren and decided to take a little detour down memory lane. As expected the fall colors have peaked and now have dulled and leaves are falling from the trees. Even so the colors are still beautiful and to me there is nothing like the smell of the Autumn woods.
I stopped at the spring where we used to gather water for camp, not a drop of water flowing now. I'm assuming it is from this summers drought, but then I haven't been up this road in about 6 years.
We spent many of hunting season and even off season enjoying the camp a good friend owned. The camp we staid at still looks almost like the last time we where there.
Spent many of early morning (Pitch Black Dark) hours walking down this trail on our way to our hunting areas.
Of course I had to swing by the Hearts Content area, this place was alway easy to get lost in.
The fire tower is still standing, don't know if it is still used these days.
Of course every story has to have a leading caricature.
