    Default Cargo Trailer conversion

Bought a 2013 7X16V Road Force (Wells Cargo). Finished Walls, window and RV door installed already.

Right now I am having a roof mount RV AC unit installed along with 12v and 110v electric and cable. Once that is finished, and as soon as the weather lets me, I will start on the cabinets in the V nose. Also still in the design phase is a queen size bed. Folding table along the long wall and some shelves along the short wall. No kitchen or bath. Pretty much going to be a real nice "tent" on wheels once we get to a Rally area.

Pretty sweet trailer IMO. 4" drop torsion axles will make it allot easier to get Big Red in and out. Condor for the wife's will be installed also. Walls will be repainted.

White is fine for the ceiling, but not the side walls. The entire floor and ramp will get a truck bed roll on liner. Area rug will be used to cover when we are using it as a living area.

I have a decent 5X10 flatbed trailer. I put the TG on it ONCE to take it in for an electric problem. It wasn't fun. Not much room between the fenders and the nice hard steel trailer "wall". Wife and I had already kicked the trailer idea around, but that made it a done deal. So we spent from August until three weeks ago looking at trailers. The fact that I am disabled and the Iron Butt days are done also had a part in the decision to start trailing.

I have a Featherlite pointed nose. Anybody know where I can get stabilizing jacks that are mounted under the rear and fold up and down? Keystone does your new trailer have them?

I have see this conversion done. They had some sort of a bedroom set up after the bikes were removed. The area the bikes ocupied when in the trailer was converted into living space once they stopped. Can not remember if it slid from the front or dropped down. If I was able to travel I would look into something like that or a Toy hauler

My trailer came with the jacks Lakeman. But you can get them cheap enough. HFT has them for $33 each. I believe that the HFT jacks are better than the ones that came with my trailer.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Think I will need to go with the fold up ones, not much ground clearance when towing.

Will do. Power converter has held them up a bit. Seems as if it vanished in shipping. New one is in route and should be installed by weeks end. Depending on weather (snow/ice on roads) I should have it home this weekend. Air Conditioning, Lights, 110v plugs and cable has been installed. Once home it will sit for a bit waiting for weather to be warm enough to start work again. Should have no issues building the cabinets though ahead of time.

Yep, something I should have done as well...even thought of it. I had a motorhome, that I could have stripped for a/c, plumbing, etc., but sold it for $1500. Kinda kicking myself in the butt now. Anyway, I'm anxiously waiting to see what you do in there.

It will now sit behind the house waiting for me to add the counter top, cabinets, tie down spots for not only the bikes but to secure the beds etc to the side wall.

Went with a Parallax Series 7300 power center. This will be in the nose under the counter top all by it's self. Right now it's secured to the floor.

    Atwood AC unit on top.

30 amp shore service will run everything. Also have a cable TV hook up as we might want to put a small flat screen in so we can watch the news at night and the weather in the morning.

Made sure we have outside 110v also. Plenty to run a small compressor if we need to.

Weather finally got good enough to paint the inside!

The floor/ramp received two coats of QUIKRETE Anti-Skid Textured Coating. Since it is a urethane coating I expect it should hold up well.

Still have to build and install the front shelve unit. But here is the basic lay out.

Ran into a bit of a snag. Due to the low stance of the Tri Glide I could not get my TG into the trailer. Mufflers would bottom out. This has been taken care of now with the installation of the tGLIDE 1.25" lift kit. I can now back the TG into the trailer. Have to do it that way in order to get both my Trike and the wife's bike into the trailer.
