    Default Stallion repairs

As requested this is to start a list of repairs wanting to be added to the Stallion repair manuel.

    1. Wiring diagram for an 2008 Stallion
    2. Repairs on the Air Conditioning system (Will not blow cold air)
    3. Break down of front end parts (How to take apart and what to look for when noise is coming from front bearing area)
    4. Part numbers on all parts such as break pads, light bulbs

I hope this is only a start on this list.

To Ed's list, I'd like to add:

    5. Wiring diagram for '09 Stallion (if different from an '08 Stallion)
    6. Procedure for replacing the front/rear brake pads, what tools needed, etc.
    7. Procedure for bleeding the brake fluid, what tools needed, how often, etc.
    8. Location of lubrication points i.e. what parts should be lubed, etc.
    9. Procedure for getting at and replacing the spark plugs, what parts have
to be removed, if any, torque spec's., etc.
    10. Procedure for aiming (raising/lowering) the headlights

I have looked over this forum many of times, and I plan on including alot of self-maintened items in the manual. Letting me know what you want will help me make sure the manual is well informed way of letting you guys do alot of the work yourself

Kevin, it sounds like you are going to do a great job for us Stallion owners.

I would like to know the year/type of vehicle that many of the parts are used from. When one goes into a parts store to order, they want to know the year and model of vehicle etc. For instance I have been told on my ’09, the REAR END is a 7 1/2” Mustang … the REAR BRAKE PADS are used on the Ford Taurus X (’08 – ’10) or the Ford Freestyle (’05 – ’07) or the Ford Five Hundred (’07 – ’10) … the FRONT BRAKE PADS are used on the Toyota Truck FJ Cruiser 4.0L (’12) … the STEERING COLUMN is a Ford Ranger (2000 – 2002) … the TAIL LIGHTS are a Acura TL (2000).

Location of parts especially associated with the wiring harness. I was working on the cruise control did not have power to the corrector on the assembly coming from the 2 amp fuse. Had no idea what it looked like or where it was (Cutoff switch)

Diagram of where different parts are located would be a BIG help.

Raiator removal, you can get instructions from TBMS. I just had mine replaced due to a leak from the factory.

Ok guys, The donor Stallion will be here in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Me and the owner of the donor Stallion are having to work around each others schedule when it comes to arranging a time, we are both extremely busy this time of year. I have made a list of everything that owners have put on this forum that they would like for repairs. I am basically going to give you a run down of how to remove, repair, service, and test almost everything on the bike. Some things will be quick and easy, but some will be more in depth and complicated. I am not quite sure the price of the manual yet, because I have to take into consideration the costs for time, publishing, video costs and everything else associated with making something like this from scratch. I will be taking pre orders soon, so make sure to send me a private message and give me your information (name, address, phone number) so I can put you on a list. I WILL be posting a price very soon, but I ask that owners also take into consideration that it will take time, and alot of resources in order to complete this task. The manuals will be very useful and easy to understand, and should help any person wanting to service the bike themselves, OR contain most information that is needed to have a shop perform the work for you. Please make sure to keep posting things you would like included, as I will keep adding things to the list. Thanks again!!!

Was this manual ever completed/published? I am having an issue with my turn signals & brake lights not working.

I live in the Kansas City area and all the Stallion dealers have gone out of business.

The Ford dealership says that they can't really help me. Does anyone have any ideas?

Under the hood on the right side of the steering wheel look for a module (what we used to call a flasher) (doesn't look like the old flasher either) It is somewhat tucked away near the top of the area between the engine and the shift mechanism. This is the turn signal module. Take it to NAPA and they should be able to replace it. Remember the base for the Stallion is the Ranger. I can't remember the part number. Anyway replace it then I put a heavy plastic bag around it to keep the direct water off of it.

I hope that is all what your problem is.

I had been talking to StallionTech about using my Stallion but he did not get back with me so I'm saying the manual hasn't been started.
