The smoker is a Camp Chef Smoke Pro SE. The Hoper holds about 18# of pellets. They come in a 20# bag. I ran it at 200* for 7 hours and used about 1.5-2" in the hoper which is about 10" deep. The instruction say at 225* it uses 1# an hour. i'll know more after the brisket this coming Sunday. That should take about 18 hours. That will give me a feel for efficiency.
After 7 hours, I went to empty the ash cup and there was only about 1/4-1/2" of ash in a cup about 4-5" in diameter, so it's pretty efficient.
For Sully ... When you do ribs, does the outer Bark get pretty chewy? If not, why did mine? Thanks in advance.

It was great ... posted it in what's for dinner thread.
So this week was beer can chicken ... since I gave up drinking, I used a diet coke can half filled with Dr. Pepper.
Chicken was a six pound roaster that was brined overnight. No rub, just salt pepper and a touch of garlic.
On the stand in the smoker:

Sliced off the breast, don't know if you can see the juice running down the white meat, but it was exceptionally juicy:
All in all, chicken is not my favorite, but, this was the tastiest and juiciest I've ever cooked. I ate a leg, a thigh and 1/2 a breast. I usually don't like the white meat as it tends to be dry, but this was excellent.
