FYI..... I found out today, because I did buy it, that the money back in total refund is if you only buy this plan at the same time as you buy your bike. It's not good afterwards. Hope that clears it up.

If you can get the 5 year warranty for $1500.00 , i would say go for it for sure. that is pretty damn cheap and peace of mind is worth $300.00 a year. Now my question to all of you is can you buy insurance for a 2007 Harley with a Champion conversion? If i can , steer me to who i can get it from. Thanks

OK, I bit the bullet and bought the 5 yr ( 3 more yrs) with tire/whewl for my 2012 Trike that is out of warranty.....tomorrow!
I got it from Jim at Kutter HD for $1,425 with no tax. I called my three local dealers including where I got the bike and was $250 more PLUS tax which is about $102, so I'm talking a $357 diff.

Changing the radio in the '11 paid for the extended warranty, breaks in the '09 paid for it. When we move up to '14s I will definitely do the extended warranties. Also, we don't modify the scoots that MAY cause problems with the warranty.

My advice,,,, if you own a Harley, either 2 wheels, 3 wheels, or no wheels you better buy a warranty. They break down.... They always have something going wrong with them. I've had 7 Ultras in 18 years and everyone of them had an issue. I'm just glad that the ones that did have problems early my regular warranty covered the problem.

I purchased the 7 year warrentee for my Goldwing..........Glad I did as it did come in handy on my 02........Totally paid for a engine re-build (six yrs into ownership)

I always get ESP I dont like surprises on the road and it has paid off on ALL my bikes since 88, Their is no copay @ my local dealer now

My first Harley was a 88 Sportster. I didn't start buying the ESP until my 5th Harley a 2010 Limited because of all the problems I had with the previous ones. I can afford it, I'm not a mechanic and it gives me great piece of mind when riding, especially on my long trips and riding in foreign countries.

I say if you can afford it, buy it. Don't listen to all the mechanically inclined people that tell you not to.

I ride at least 12K a year and it's worth it to me. If you only ride 1K a year I would say you don't need it.
