I doubt that they are the same. You will probably have to order it from a dealer so I would call one and ask that question to inquire on the price. There was a dealer in Murfreesboro TN, or around there, he was reasonable and very helpful.

Since the 1800 was a totally new design, untilizing a single sided swing arm, I would venture the mounting cradle for it vs. a 1500 is quite different.
However, I posted a link so you could pose your question directly to the TowPac company.

The Voyager adapters cost about $500. Just thinking the Tow PAC is close to the same thing. So if the unit you buy is not made for the exact motorcycle you have you need an adapter. You should be able to find one made for your 1500. If you can snag one for 1/2 price or less it might be worth. Personally I would buy NEW. Wear and tear, price of an adapter, may cost you more than new.

well it's prob unjust but I do not want a voyager kit
I really like the Trigg kits but don't care for the low ground clearance so I have decided that the TowPac insta trike is the way I want to go

Cool Re: Tow pac info needed HELP Please

AJ1500: I traded my two wheeler last July on a Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan with a Tow-Pac already installed and haven't regretted it one bit. The Kaw is a 1994; but only had 19,000 miles on it and the Tow-Pac had been painted to match the bike. I had my locaal bike shop go over it, change fluids, new tires, tune up etc; and it runs and handles great. Have put a little over 3000 miles on it so far. Managed to get a ride in at least once a month thru the nasty Winter we had; and now that it's Spring and warmer it gets out daily.
Whoever had this bike before me took very good care of it and I'd thank him for that if I knew the original owner. Finding this set-up kept me riding since I could no longer manage the weight of the two wheeler.

I have a 2007 1800 with a Tow Pac kit installed. The trailer hitch comes with the kit, it is not separate. If you
buy the kit from Tow Pac you are good to go. I have had it for 3 years now and am very happy with it. Check the
mounting bolts periodically though. I had the left bolt come out. It rode ok, but I wore out 2 tires in @ 3,000 miles
before I found out what was going on. I had checked alignments and talked to the president of the company at
Wing Ding, and his head of service Jeromay (815-937-1079) trying to figure out what was wrong. I had some
loose screws on the fender and took the wheel off to tighten them. That's when I found the mounting bolt missing.

If you don't mind taking a road trip to Florida, Dade City to be exact, There's a fellow there that builds an outrigger trike kit. You can disconnect it and go back to two wheels in ten minutes or less. If you buy from him & buy another bike He can modify your existing kit to fit the new bike. About 3600 dollars. Paint to match your bike & trailer hitch no extra charge. 15" Aluminum wheels & tires.Richland Roadster Trike Kit Johnny Ray Richland 352 567-1985 A good ole Florida boy! Showed me around his whole shop before I bought mine.

It didn't from a 1500 to a 1800 so I guess the same applies here . I changed one from a 1500 to a 1800 for a friend and had to order a mounting kit . You can call Tow Pac and make sure though , very nice people , and place your order directly from them .
we all have our faults .....others point them out to us......guess we know what theirs are

More of a question than anything. I have a Tow Pac on 01 Gold Wing great ride one of the best I have had but with Tow Pac on Wing do you jack the tow pac up on one side to get wheel off or do you remove it then take wheel off want to check wheel bearings and it looks pretty close to get wheel off from under the fender thought I might ask before I get into it so to not make a mistake as this is a very pretty set up I have. Any ideas or do I need to call Tow Pac. Thanks

Even on a MC lift I would think it would be darn near impossible to get the bike rear wheel off with the Tow Pac kit on there... I wouldn't say it couldn't be done but to my way of thinking, removing the Tow Pac would be a whole lot easier...
