I've been riding since '64.. just about anything on two wheels that came my way including a 50cc Motobécane Moped, Vincent Black Shadow, Goldwing and a Sportster. It irks me when people bash other bikes or riders.. we're all Brothers and Sisters. From the dorkiest to the coolest, we all share a passion. We all ride what we ride for a reason. Trikers are an elite group within an elite group or BROTHERHOOD - don't matter two or three wheels, red or black paint, etc

Default Ride Whatever You Feel Comfortable Riding!

I agree with Skuuter and all that have commented about stopping the bad mouthing of fellow riders and what they ride. Hey, we're all out riding and that's really the point isn't it? We have this great forum provided by TrikeTalk.com to converse almost about anything trike or bike related. Heck, a few years back I was leading a group on my 2-wheel Ultra and waved to a guy riding past us on a scooter. When we stopped for a bio break a riding buddy was giving me crap about waving to a scooter and I said "at least he was riding on two wheels (now I wave to 2 or 3 wheelers) and besides I just made his CENTURY with someone on a Harley (or any other brand) waving to him on his scooter! " I have always said if you ride a motorized bike of any type you are a friend of mine and we all ride with a lot of people on different manufacturers, I just happen to like Harley-Davidson! Have a happy and safe ride whatever you ride! aj

Skuuter As I posted in another thread, we as trike riders are often looked down upon as less than our two wheeled brethren. We have more in common with each other as to how we corner, ride and generally enjoy our machines than we have differences. Let's stick together and not bash or flame each other. I learn from all riders. I may not post in the Honda forum very often but I do read and learn.

Personally, from the threads I've looked at, I haven't seen to much trash talking and that's one of the reasons I'm here to begin with. The respect shown by most members is what makes this forum different from many other internet forums regardless of the topic. I appreciate that members give honest opinions without resorting to bashing, trashing, and degrading of other members, or what they ride. I'm a Harley guy through and through, but if someone likes to ride a Honda, Yamaha, Victory, or whatever, it's OK by me as long as they respect my choice. IMO this is one of the best forums on the net because of the lack of trash talking.

The main job of mod staff is really not so much to moderate, we'd rather not have to and rarely do, job one is to help assist members with their questions and to generally be good stewards of the community. These guys were each already very much engaged before becoming staffers so they have been a natural fit. I hope that you all would agree that the mods contribute a lot to the community and have been a positive addition.

I don't care how much ink he's sporting, Barney Fife is a little hard to take seriously. Is that acceptable bashing? All kidding aside, you guys do a great job.

I understand, but Barney and my "Certified-Man-Car-Holder" badge is my way of having some fun and not taking myself or my job too seriously....HOWEVER don't make me take my bullet out!

    Default trike style

Personally, I don't care what brand of vehicle that you ride, only that you ride. You are the one that has to put up with how it rides, how much maintenance you have to do to it, etc. The thing that I love most about the Gold Wing is longevity! Outside of oil change and regular maintenance, I rarely have to do anything to the trike. I have 103k on it now and expect to double that before having to worry about pulling the engine apart. I expect to reach that in 4 years!

I am new to this forum but am on a Road Glide forum as well,an have been for a few years, glad to see that bashing and negative comments are frowned on here as well.To me its about where you go not how you get there and just enjoying yourself.I was on a other forum for a short time and found out real quick that it was full of key board warriors.Guys who thought that if you didn't ride as much as them or as fast as them that you weren't worthy of owning a bike let alone riding one,so I exited pretty quick.
