Bike Trip to Lake Guntersville, Alabama

Mitzie and I headed out to Guntersville Lake, Alabama Saturday morning on the 750 Aero Motorcycle and 300 Forza Scooter using some twisty backroads, then picked up Hwy 431 into Town.....







A little Drink Break outside Skyline, Alabama......





Guntersville has re-furbished all of the Old Downtown....





We found a nice Park on the Lake also to relax and look at some maps.....











We saw some new "Friends" there......





After a lot of exploring the roads and scenery around Guntersville, we rode over to Albertville for Lunch at the CATFISH CABIN........Fantastic Food....Blue Crab Claws.....





Cajun Blackened Catfish.....



Red Beans-n-Rice.....



Slaw and Hush Puppies......



Mitzie had Catfish Strips and Sweet Potatoes.....



On the way back, we visited the Guntersville State Park, Lodge, and Restaurant....then it was off on some twisty back roads for Home including Hwys 227, 67, 21, 35, and 79.......Great 239 mile Day Trip...I couldn't stop and take Pics of the very best roads because of no place to pull over...just endless curves and no shoulders except for mostly pine trees...another one coming soon to this same General Area.....

Scooter we were through there Sat. also , on the way to Crow Mountain Orchard beautiful place to ride ,,,one of my favorites . Traveled through Scottsboro , Skyline and found a fantastic country cafe before you turn on co rd 33 .


Plan on another trip just for the cafe this time and of course the scenery doesn't hurt a bit . So safe travels know the area well and is some of the best riding in the state .



The lodge is nice also we use to stay there after every Trail of Tears ride and hit that buffet every Sat. evening and Sunday morning ,,,GOOD TASTE !!!!!!

Must have ate at the Place called simply "CAFE" now up on 79 (Great Buffet and Burgers)....another Great Place are the Burgers at the Store in Pikeville at the base of Crow Mountain...we ride Crow Mountain (33 and 39) a lot.....

,,,Don't remember the name Scooter but sounds as though that could be it . My son ordered a double burger and honestly one of the biggest burgers I've seen . Few weeks ago I eat at a place that is known for their great burgers in Gulf Shores at 10 .00 a burger . I believe that burger was bigger at 6.00 but couldn't get my son to share a bite so not really sure how good it was . LOL


Going back after the Trail of Tears weekend just to eat me one of those burgers ,,,be safe and enjoy that great riding !!!

Ate Breakfast here last Saturday, then Lunch in Albertville.....found some more Great Roads in the Guntersville Area.....I love riding and exploring new twisies....
