Spoked Front Wheel for a 2015 FLRT Freewheeler

OK, I know I don't have my FLRT yet, but I really do not like the wheels and want to start seeking out replacements. I am looking for a 40 spoked front wheel that will use the stock braking and tire size. The FLRT, I think, uses a 19" x 3" rim and mounts a MT 130/60B19 m/c 61H front tire. Anybody got any ideas on where to get one or who to inquire with for one?

Also, a lot of you have sent me private messages wanting to purchase my original wheels....
Well, when I get them replaced, I am planning on putting the originals up on ebay, I will let the forum know when that happens.

Dealer said the front end is Road King, I would suspect wheel, tire, and break would be the same.

When you say spoke, are you talking aluminium still or steel with spokes that need tightened periodically and the wheel kept true? I'm wondering how a traditional spoked front rim will like the side loads a trike places on them, could be an issue.

Good, Old-Fashion, 40 spoked wheel - would like them to be stainless spokes. And, I think they have and will continue to hold up well in such an application....

Now, it appears that Screwball as something: The 2013 Harley-Davidson FLTRXSE2 CVO Road Glide Custom had the same size front wheel; mounted the MT 130/60B19 m/c 61H front tire as well; and, the rotors appear to be the same......

I did consider getting a "Smoothie" solid rim for out front; but, they are a heavy wheel rim and that may end up making the Freewheeler tougher to steer.

My last trike was a 2001 ultra with a DFT kit and it had the standard spoked front rim. Never had any problems with it in 40,000 miles

In almost all spoke wheels they require a tube, And if you get a nail in the tire, It will lose air fast, And can't be plugged on the road, Whereas a tube-less can be plugged, And even if the tire still leaks it will lose air slowly so you can still ride to get to a repair shop..

Sounds like spokes hold up, I guess I never took them very seriously due to the need for tubes and extra TLC, plus they just look fragile.

It is not the same. The RK has a 17inch front tire and the free has a 19. The RK has 4 piston front calipers and the free has a 6 piston calipers. I'm not real sure, but I don't think the rotors are exactly the same either.

I think the dealer meant the 2015 Road Glide - FLTRX. It does come with a 19 in. wheel. I am not sure on the braking; but the rotor(s) mount could be the same as well.

...Actually, if you look closer - it will be more because of the brakes and the center hub issues.....

maybe for a bakers dozen + taxes, services charges, design charges, handling charges, shipping charges, blackmail & payoff charges and I heard that they often have coupons for plus 15%!!!!!!
