Since TBMS can't get an engine and Ford may be bringing the Ranger back, I wonder if a new Stallion will be in the future????

Some how I am not holding my breath on the Stallion being produced again. I wish they would because it's a great trike. Maybe you guys will learn something when you go to the factory in a couple of weeks.

I spoke with Jeff yesterday in Daytona and he said they were close to something but would not say anymore. Just maybe they will announce something next week at the party ??<br />

will be nice to be able to tell the people that are asking that one is available.

Doc I wouldn't go there until some type of announcement is made and they are ready to sell again.

I'm feeling the same way as you Ted. I was at the companies "birthday" and did not see one piece of Stallion parts on any racks etc. in any buildings. The "decision makers" were so involved with the event that the opportunity to discuss any future productions was not there.

I was also at the "birthday" and in the end of one of the building there was a huge rack containing nothing but Ford transmissions. It covered the whole wall from floor to ceiling and end-to-end. Could not guess how many there were; however, as noted they were labeled Ford, and interestingly enough they were also labeled as 4x4, although they did not have any transfer cases attached. Don't know why they would have this many if they were not being planned on being utilized in some manner, hopefully in Stallions!!!
Thanks Dean and gctrikeguy Interesting about the transmissions. Would not think you would need that heavy a duty transmission if they were doing a re-power. But it is also what might be available. It would also indicate if they were for a re-power that they were not going the complete drive train route like they did from the ranger. Only time will tell. For now we just need to stick together and share what we find out to keep our Stallions going. The hard part for us mostly finding out where parts are located when you have a problem. Relays etc can be anywhere. If TBMS would share that information along with parts life would be alot easier for us. I don't even mind buying the oarts from them. They are expensive but hey its a low production item and it will be more expensive. Dealers are few and far between so we are left with doing most repairs ourselves and trying to figure out the what and where. Most of us would be willing to pay a fair price for a service manual. Heck I paid $60 for my manual for the Tri-Glide.

TMS, has been producing Stallions for about 6 yrs. MotorTrike has been building trike conversions for 20 yrs. Checking, some dealers around the country have unsold new Stallions on their floor, humm!

I think they need to work some bugs out before they think about building new bikes. Mine is a 2013 with less then 5000 miles on it. The 1st week I had it, the right blinker quit working, the AC quit working, the rubber floor mat came off. Since then a speaker has come unhooked, the trunk has had to be repainted twice because of paint falling off. The lettering on the remote radio has come off. The radio itself has quit also. Out of the 14 weeks I have owned it, it has been in the shop 7 of them
Charlie, it appears the closest you will get to a "Stallion only" listing would be on the Stallion page of the Motor Trike web site. There is a link "Check Here for Availability", that shows a list of dealers and their inventory. I doubt that this is current since I know that Nutting Custom Trikes sold all of their 2013 Stallions, but appears to have a used '13 Candy Red on the floor. There could be more dealers out there too.

You just have to be creative. The basic platform is FORD so it's not like parts are not available. Parts that were made for the Stallion alone are still available from TBMS. The only issue right now is gaining knowledge as to where stuff is at on the trike and how was it installed. Access to parts and maintenance manuals would be a dream come true making things easier to repair. We have had ours for 6 years and over 75k miles. Runs and looks great. We do not hesitate a bit to our long 4k to 10k trips.
We just took the stock radio out and replaced both the radio and remote with one unit that nicely fits where the remote was mounted.
It's no different then owning any other vehicle that was a semi-custom build. With only approx. 900 built over 5 years it is not mass produced. All the new vehicle problems take awhile to surface at that rate.
We are going to keep ours going by whatever it takes. If you understand that it's a custom and not a mass produced trike like the TRI-GLIDE then you will know what you need to due to own one. If you can't fix it look for that shop that does custom work. They have the right mind set to fix it.
