Road Smith Plates on Rear Wheels

Sent a PM out to Solid Bob, but he may be out of town again. Maybe a simple question, but what tool do I need to remove those RS plates from the rear wheels? Guess I don't do much wrenching, I've never seen anything like them. I'm still needing to do a brake fluid change.

</div>Bill, those are security torque screws. The little dimple in the center keeps just anyone from snaring your wheels. Security torque screws, good grief. If I ever get those suckers out, I'm replacing them with something. I can imagine the what if's with those things. In my opinion, a bad idea. Guess I need to e-mail RS, find out exactly I need to remove those 'security screws'.

Thanks Gold, I'll be heading that way, 'bout 30 mins from me, hope they have it. I'll be calling first. Now I'm guessing there's a tool in this kit that will remove those pesky security screws? Jus askining.

I checked mine and they are not real security screws. That cover plate just pops in and out. There is a slot on the outside edge to put a screwdriver and pop the cover off.
