I put on the Harley dual mirror in one head, that has a parabolic mirror along with the regular mirrir. They are a joke in my opinion. All you gain is the same picture plus maybe a better view of your passenger. Nothing gained out to the side.
BUT I did put the extension for the mirror stem on & so far I'm impressed ! I am still using the stock mirrors. But it moves them out so I'm not looking at my shoulders as much.

I did the HD split vision AND the extenders. That worked way better. Can actually see to the sides and behind me now.

Hi..My name is Trent and I am a Chromaholic.
I've had the mirror extenders on every Harley I've ever owned. It puts it up another 3" higher so you're not looking at your shoulder and more of the traffic behind you. And you don't need to lower your eyes as much.
I hate the fairing mirrors.
PS. there is no additional vibration - these are solid units.
Wouldn't be without the extenders.
I have to agree with Trent, Sloufoot and GaryD with adding the mirror extensions. I was always complaining about the mirrors and seeing my shoulders and only part of the view behind. I kept saying I should add the extensions and never got around to it until a couple years ago. The few dollars for them was a great investment. I see the rear view much better. Add the extensions first and see if that does it for you. You can always go to the split view mirrors if you want after that, just put the extensions on them.
The HD extensions. If you have wide shoulders, the extensions are a necessity.

Didn't know Kuryakyn had mirror extenders. Mine have always been the H-D ones.
You have nothing to loose.
I went with the H-D mirror extensions due to the price and availability. Dealer had the H-D extensions for $29.95 and in stock and the Kuryakyn were $44.95 and they would have to order. Dealer gives a 10% discount to all local HOG chapter members even if they order from Kuryakyn through them.

I've used the straight HD extenders for years and liked them. Heard good reviews on Kury extensions and not impressed. They look like an X-ray of my arthritic hands and just looking at the knarley mess make my hands hurt, plus they are extremely heavy. Have moved on to the more expensive HD extensions and they seem will work if the cold and snow ever move out of here. Ordered from Surdyke and had them in about 10 days.
