    Default Roadsmith Trike Kit

    Good afternoon,

Do your kits have serial numbers? If so, where on mine would I find it and would you be able to tell me who assembled it?

    Thank you.

We have a roadsmith comversion on our custom Sportster. I know of no serial numbers on our trike. It was built at the Daytona location.Name: sportster trike 2 (2).JPG

    Hello,

All Roadsmith kits have a unique serial number which can be found on a silver stamped sticker on the receiver hitch, about 4-5" under the body. There will be a series of letters which indicates the model to start off with, and then a unique series of numbers. If you'd like more information on your particular trike, feel free to call us with that information.

    Thanks for riding Roadsmith!

Thank you for your prompt response. I will locate the series of numbers and give you a call.

I'm thinking it might be a good idea to make a note of that serial number and write it down on any paperwork you have with the trike kit. Just in case that sticker no longer sticks after a prolonged period of time and being exposed to the elements. Constant road spray will wash most stickers off due to the water force involved. I'd even consider crawling under the unit and writing that number somewhere on the underside of the body with a sharpie or small paint brush....might be an ID you would want should the trike wander away in the back of someone else's truck or trailer. This could also be done by Roadsmith during the final inspection as it is packed for shipment...just saying.

    Good morning RR,
Thank you for your wise words. Will do exactly what you say as my sticker is a bit messed up.

If for some reason you do lose that serial sticker, the serial number of the conversion is also stamped into the main tubular frame on the left side, right in front of the left wheel

Just curious on what having the serial number will do for us owners?

You pull up, and the shop will know it is a Roadsmith. Is something unique on a trike to have the actual number for reference??????

Good idea Allen, I will crawl under my bike, once it warms up and copy down my numbers.... I'm sure that my builder, has the #'s copied but it always better to have the #'s copied...
