Guess I shouldn't have nodded off in that cold rain storm..... never travel in the Yukon in December.... still shaking every time I see this photo.....

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."
Done that, froze there. Still thawing out from past winter rides.
Guess that explains the "solid" on the Solidbob!

Thats about how I felt after riding from Brian Head UT (13,000ft.) down to Ceder City through a hail storm.
Riding in hail in Oklahoma was one of the few times I was glad I had a helmet on. Sure made noise inside though. Went from pea size to quarter and I was about to pull over and stop when I popped out of it. It changed to snow. Oklahoma has some of the screwiest weather. This was June even.
The only reason some people are still alive is it's illegal to shoot them.

We only hit BB, to pea sized, and I had a Vetter Windjammer fairing to hide behind so wasn't all that bad. My only rain gear was a $3 plastic poncho, so that made it a little interesting. The guy riding with me had no windshield, and an open face helmet & sunglasses, so by the time we got down to Ceder City he was beat half to death, and frozen through. And this was in April, I'd hate to try that run in December. Likely need a snowmobile.
Beautiful country in the Yukon. Did the Alcan twice back in 71 when I was much younger and more stupid. After that, and wintering over flying in and out of Adak, I had enough winter to last me a lifetime.
