Hello. I'm glad to have found this forum. I've gotten a wealth of information already.
I have been riding since I was 18 and Harleys since I was 23 (I still have that bike).
My best friend, co-worker and riding brother, Jim bought a trike last year. In June, he was killed when his Jeep ran into a parked tractor trailer. His family agreed to let me buy it from them so I sold my Road-glide and bought the 2010 Tri-glide at the end of August.
My wife loves it more than I do. She quit riding after she broke her shoulder when the Road-glide fell over at a stop sign. I'm happy to have her back riding again.

That's an amazing story, Bill.
Sorry about your loss, but glad to hear that you and your ever so important significant other is riding with you again.

Triking is a lifestyle you'll really enjoy. Hope to meet you one of these days.

Welcome from KY! Wives really seem to dig trikes, people on here are always taking about how much their wife likes the trike. My on wife wouldn't ride my 2wheeler but loves the trike.

welcome aboard. sorry about how you got here but sometimes things have a reason.

Recall, FuzzWuzHe, kybigmac, gorilla and rod69, thanks for the warm welcome. This is going to be a fun place!

Yes it was. That's pretty special. Treat it with love.

I was lovin' on it today. Started the install of a Fuelmoto ceramic coated X pipe.

Welcome to TT from Florida Bill, very touching story about your new ride. Be sure to start a new thread about how the Fuelmoto header goes, I'm also thinking about doing that.

WELCOME to TRIKE TALK...sorry about the conditions leading to You getting a Trike, but glad You found us.....ThumbUp

Thanks, SKUUTER. It has been a sad couple of days, with the Marine Corps birthday and Veterans Day. Jim was in the Corps from '66 to '72 and brought back a Purple Heart from Viet Nam. I miss him a lot.
My wife and I rode the trike up to Quantico National Cemetery last month for Jim's Service. We rode right behind the hearse and family car to the grave site.

Hello. ... etc ...
My wife loves it more than I do. She quit riding after she broke her shoulder when the Road-glide fell over at a stop sign. I'm happy to have her back riding again.

Welcome from The Shenandoah Valley .....

My wife never had a "bad get off" yet, but she sure loves riding the back of the trike more than the bike. She rode the back of my Trident and GL1200 years before the trike ... always seemed to like them ... but I can tell a difference starting when we bought the trike. She says she just feels more secure that way. When she's having fun, I'm having fun ..... and so the two wheelers are mostly for when I am alone on them.

Hi Bill

My wife and I are currently in Culpeper. Maybe on one of our trips up to Williamsburg we can meet. I started riding trikes a couple years ago. After several knee replacements my wife could not get on the 2 wheelers anymore so I was having to ride solo. We started with a Harley with Lehman kit. We sold that and got a 2015 TriGlide. My wife absolutely loves it. I know she has one trip planned out that was to see the Presidential head graveyard out that way. Probably with a stay in Williamsburg for night.

Hello BillR and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. Personally I would have a hard time even riding that bike due to the sentimental value. But we both know that it was ment to ride, not sit. I hope that you can keep us updated with your travels and safe rides.

Thanks Bud.
We've put about 2500 miles on it so far, allowing for two months of cold & snow. Did a few mods to help it run better and cooler, and handle better. It was bone stock when I "inherited" it.
We have some trips in the planning stage, but have not nailed down the dates, yet.

Right after I got it, I felt several times that he was riding with me. "I made him ride Bitch". ;)
