When starting one of our Stallions, the alternator does not come on line unless the engine is revved up quite a bit. Sometimes it takes several revs. Has anyone had this problem and if so, what is the remedy?

It sounds like it might be the alternator itself. Most modern alternators are "internally regulated". I'd talk to a local shop that specializes in alternator repair/rebuilding as they will know more about their design and operation that about anyone else that you'd have easy enough access to.
I wouldn't go explaining what a Stallion is, but would tell them you've got a Ford Ranger and what it's doing.. Should be all they need to know!
some one wire alternators need a bump it rpm to excite them,,, I have a couple that need a little rpm bump no big deal. if you are truly concerned most rebuild shops will test alt. for free but you do need to remove it and that may be a job in your trike I have never worked on stallion.
best of luck .....
