Traded both my Glocks (22 and 42) for a Kimber tactical ultra II. It came with master series crimson trace grips. Nice weapon. Can't wait to run it.
Here it is cocked and locked. Hope there's a few out there that appreciate some good gun porn.

Kimber makes a real nice 1911.

I have a Kimber and love it. It will eat anything I feed it, including an empty round just to see if it would. Got my wife one a few years later and just as good except it's not as open to eating anything. In fact hates Remington ammo. Go figure. They did change the feed ramp in those years though so something had to go I guess. It was back to the factory several times. She's got more great things done to it as far as trigger and polishing than I would ever do but it just hates Remington no matter what. Everything else no problem. Interestingly weird is all I can say. Plenty of Winchester white box for practice so no biggy. Just interesting info for ya.

I had no idea they made a .380?!?
That would be perfect for my wife (and me if I'm feeling like carrying something lighter). She has recently expressed interest in being certified CCW so she can carry when she travels for her work.
The 1911 I traded for was used. Not much by my reckoning. But still dirty as hell! The gun shop should have been ashamed to show like it was. I say WAS because I spent a good part of my New Years Eve cleaning the machine. The more I wiped, the more crud came off.

hi consitter
my wife has carried a 380 for 25 plus years we use to have rental houses and I worried about her collecting rent. its quit possible for bad folks to target a woman alone especially if they think there is cash around. so go forward to now ,, we have way more crime-and its my opinion that all of us men and woman alike should get our cc license(what ever you need in your area) and some NRA training classes- wife and I take something every couple years and shoot often. we don't want to harm anyone but we don't plan on being victim's either. so we make time every week or 2 to shoot our carry guns so that handling them is second nature. the 380 is a great cc gun I think !!

And now a problem...
I've managed to somehow strip one of the torx screws on my grips when I was taking them off to look at the type of battery I will need to replace later. (That's a CR2032 btw, for those of you so you won't need to take your grips off to find out.)
Any ideas what I can do to get it back out? Or am I screwed? Get it? SCREWED!!

Is it the screw itself or the bushing it goes into? You were able to get the 4 screws and both sides of the grip off? BTW those batteries will last a long time.

I hate when that happens! I would try tapping a small bladed screw driver into the now round Torx hole. Anything to get a slot and grab the screw for turning. This may require more than one cup of coffee!
Brownell's can supply new Torx screws for you.
Good luck, should you choose to accept this mission.

You also might find an Allen wrench (SAE or Metric) that will fit tightly into the hole and not spin. It's already broke anyway..........

And...you will find that covering exposed surfaces with masking tape will be your friend. Just in case of tool slippages.
A last resort would be to tape it off and JB Weld a torx bit to the screw, let it cure good and back it out.

If you have an expensive gun you can be chicken like me and take it to a good gunsmith. They get paid the big bucks for a reason but I find it worth it in the long run sometimes.
