Where did you buy them?? Are there different sizes? I have low profile wheels/tires on my trike.

Been thinking about these for several years, should have bit the bullet then, they was only $150 then, now $225, fixed income maybe when I get my tax refund back. I know when I ride I clean my rims after every ride, getting to be a pain in the butt for sure. for some reason I have never seen a trike or freewheeler in my area with them.

    All for now Trampas

    Default Disk Cleaning

I do the same thing but I'm wondering how difficult it would be to clean the disks!!

I would think they would be more of a PIA than actually cleaning the wheels.

Surprisingly cleaning the discs is not a big problem since you no longer are dealing with the corrosive brake dust

If you have a washing and detailing schedule set it will be no problem keeping them clean

Like Jack said. There is no problem at all cleaning them. I only have to deal with road dust.

It's been a while since Ive typed in this forum. So please forgive me if Im typing in the wrong place to answer any questions about the Mirror polished stainless steel wheel discs that i manufacture. As for the cleaning of the discs. All I do is spray the entire mag with Windex. Then I spray with a garden hose or a pressure washer. ( I happen to use a pressure washer only because that's what I use when washing off the undercarriage of my trike.) Then I use a leaf blower to blow off any water droplets. That's all that's required. Also back in I think in 2018. There was a fitment problem. We have made the necessary adjustments and there is no more fitment issues. I have what will fit for the 15" stock mags from the factory for the Tri-Glide and for the Freewheeler, right up to the present. Also,...I saw a mention about the increased price. My stainless mirror polished wheel disc costs have tripled in price. I have tried my best to keep the asking prices low and where they are now, at as reasonable as I could afford to do. All my other products. Ive been keeping them at what I always had them priced at. Ive had the mirror polished stainless steel wheel discs on my tike since 2008, when I built my trike and now,... 14 years later. They still look like the day I put them on. The discs are machine polished. Meaning, even if your great at spit shinning your shoes. I truly doubt that you could match the polishing of a machine.

Robert, thanks for your post. I've had your wheel discs for almost three years and they are great. Several friends have purchased also after seeing them on my TG. Great product and highly recommend. Easy install but not so easy removal as they tend to 'hang up' on the inside of the wheel rim as you pull it off. I discovered that if I have someone push on the disc with a non-metallic object (to avoid scratches) it holds the disc back on the hub and the wheel comes off very easy. Hope this helps someone else who has struggled with wheel removal. Small annoyance for such a great improvement.

Remember in the installation instructions? It mentions to tape the disc into the back of the mag. So that you can install them as one unit instead of two separate pieces. This also applies to removing them. Just tape them to the back inside of the mag. This makes it easier to remove them as one unit. What I just said. Really only applies to the Tri-Glide. It's really tight in there, just with even pulling the wheel off. Installation and removal of the discs on a Freewheeler is a piece of cake.

Understand. Thanks. Still had a bit of trouble using tape but perhaps I should use more and better quality.

I am considering the stainless steel polished discs. Is anyone running them with chrome wheels? Thinking it might be too much.

I have chrome enforcer wheels with the disc's. I think they look good. Curiosity got to me, so i pulled them off & painted the back side black, that looked good also. It was about 50/50 on what others thought so i say you couldn't go wrong. I have removed my wheels this winter & now have them at the powder coater getting a lil bit of black applied over some of the chrome. Can't wait to see what they look like

Can you post a pic of what they looked like with the chrome wheels?

I have the same setup and am also thinking it just might be too much.
