Moai

So without looking it up who knows what Moai are????

Back in the day I was heavely into Boxing and Muay Thai
Have not done it seriously since I was young and that was long ago

I have had a few heavy bags and speed bags since then, I even have a SlamMan

Needed something free standing I could use in the shop or out on the deck.
needed it to stand up to the rain

Created Moai.

he's about 300lbs or more, on wheels so I can beat him around the shop.

My son and I box 3 times a week with him and each other.
I think my son can kick my butt, but he does not know that yet

Moai does not move like a heavy bag but I don't move to well anymore either.

Its made from a log, camping mats, concrete and lots of Duct tape

On the back side is a double ended bag.

Moai can realy take a hard punch to. Better than SlamMan can

My son had something like that that was just wood. He called it an "ookie". Short for mook jong.

Gigantic Stone Carvings found on Easter Island.

I want to build a real Mook Jung but the Ol'Lady says I cant have it in the house.

I had a power steering leak and it sprayed across the shop
I thought I had it all cleaned up
But during Beer and Boxing tonight every time hit Moai I could smell oil

Hell of a fight tonight

popped my speed bag a few weeks ago
Just popped my double ended bag tonight

Moai is the greatest! SO fun to workout on

he held up to a very heavy Beer and boxing tonight until all of a sudden the double ended bag was flat.

Just finished a large protect at work

Needing to elt off some steam

Beer and Boxing tonight went real well

Im doing real well except to the speed bag.

I used to be so good at it.

I know its me but it seems like it does not rebound correctly off the plywood platform

Im thinking the plywood is not as hard as it should be and the bag is not rebounding correctly

OR

Im OLD, FAT and SLOW

Well check the air in the bag. Otherwise you may be right fat slow old guy! Course drinkin beer could slow the timing down too.

I tried boxing but I couldn't open my knife with them dang gloves on.

I boxed in high school. Then decided my head wasn't a speed bag.

It didn't rebound very well either.

Beer and boxing tonight

Tonight was beer and boxing night

I love to box and work out with Moai regularly but beer and boxing nights are just the greatest

If you have not figured it out yet, every other weekend is Beer and boxing

We have other boxing nights but mostly Only Beer and Boxing are worth posting

Good form tonight

I am still out of rytem to night ( my spelling sucks) But not to bad

My son was in good form tonight

12 rounds of hard hitting

Im getting better at the speed bag. I figured out I have to hit it harder and faster.

Started jump rope again. Sucked at it at first. hurt my ankle the first week but its better now

Im getting better. Go at it harder and faster works for this also

1 arm boxing for the last couple weeks. Pulled a muscle in my left arm this time. I believe it was the right arm last time

1 arm boxing can get real fun on Beer and boxing nights. But need to let the injured arm heal

I'm finding I am hurting myself more doing what I love than I did when I was younger

Getting old Sucks !!!!!!!

2nd 12 rounds were more of a beer and boxing night.

I had injured both arms in the resent past but they worked good tonight. (may feel it tomorrow)
