I'm like an old race horse..... I can still run the race -- Just ache more at the finish line and need more rest between outings.
I believe, tire brand, how it is mounted, pressure, tire maintenance, and how it is balanced, will give you different mileage on your front tire. Some will give you great mileage, others will get a lot less than expected.
Another factor is how the tire feels when you ride, riders have complained some front tires give you a "hard" ride, but give you good mileage.
Still waiting for mileage results on the Avon trike front tire people are using, which is suppose to be the best of both worlds. Since it is fairly new, long distance mileage has not occurred, if it has, it has not been reported.

FWIW, I am presently running a Dunlop Elite 3 MT90B16 on the front of our Triglide backward and it's wearing and handling very well.Presently have about 4,000 miles on it with a 2,400 mile trip pulling a trailer. No complaints and so far, so good.

I Have run a Rear tire on the front for longer life
Totally depends on what tire you use, how you ride, and how you mount it.
