    Default Trike jack

Just curious how many have jacks to jack up there bike, looking at the J & S jack, which I have heard is really good. I have seen posts of many people that have lifts and I have no room for a lift, the jack will have to do for now.

I have a jack for my other bikes and use them quite alot, especially for cleaning and waxing, doing the rims, etc etc. I know my jack won't lift a trike because of the way harley designed the frame. I want to be able to lift the trike up for cleaning and anything else that can be done without laying on the ground, I can get on floor ok, harder to get back up.

And as far as I can tell J & S jacks is the only ones building triglide jacks.

Not 100% sure but I think Pitbull makes a jack that will work with Harley trikes. Their stuff is really good.
The J&S would be my first choice, though.

I have the J&S trike jack and the optional $40 rail to convert it's use to regular cycles. Love it!

I just got a couple of ramps at the local Autozone. Ride up onto the ramps, parking brake, chock the tires outta paranoia, done.

I have been talking with a guy from Big Blue Motorcycle lifts in England. They offer lift packages for most any bike including Can Ams, but because they do not sell Harley Tri-Glides in the UK they don't offer one for the Tri because they do not have one to get measurement from. But they do want to make a lift of Tri-Glides. So I am helping them with photos and measurements.
It looks to be super compact, super simple and could easily fit inside any garage and be out of the way when not in use.

I also use car ramps for the rear wheels. This gives me plenty of room to get under the trike to check the belt, change exhaust, etc. If I want the front higher then after I have the rear wheels up on the car ramps I use my bike lift to raise the front end up. Never had a problem.

Did I read somewhere that the configuration under the new TG has changed and people are having an issue with their jacks sitting at the correct lift points? Not sure but I seem to remember that in the vague recesses of my feeble mind. Might be a question worth asking but again I maybe totally WAY offbase!

It the 2017's that have the problem. They have change the configuration of the exhaust, if I remember correctly

Ok, the ones with the J & S jack, I don't want to raise it up to 18 inches for the winter storage, can I store it in a lower setting with the tires off the cement floor for the winter and still be good, my other 2 bikes are in the first setting all winter long, but they are not J & S jacks, but they have worked good for me since 1997.

The jack has multiple safety stop bar slots .... so jack up to the first slot and let down to lock the safety stop bars in place. No strain on the hydraulics at this point. This is how you want it when working .... locked safety bar position.

Thanks HDBOB, I do know when raising it want it in the locked position for working on, when I talked to J & S they said it would be more stable at the top height which I don't want to go that high just for winter storage, just the tires off the ground is all I want, it's not like I will be banging into it when in storage, if I go to 1st or 2nd hole just to get the tires off the ground I would believe this would work for me at least, anybody have thoughts on this, just curious, I don't want the trike falling off the lift for sure, I don't think I could handle that LOL

When it is fully up the weight is centered over the base .... which is the position they show sitting on it and moving it around.
When in any other locked position it is fully stable .... but I would not sit on it and jump up and down as the base is not completely centered under the trike.

    You will like it!

Thank you HDBOB, don't plan on sitting on it, understand about it at full height, still not sure I would sit on it in the full position , leap of faith I guess, I value the trike and my body whole alot more.

OK, I found the Jack you are talking about at jsjacks.com and it looks great.
But for the price my concern will be that when I update my Tri-Glide to a 2017 or any newer model the jack will be useless to me.

Have one and it works great. J&S jack for Harley Trikes is sweet.

Pic with my Freewheeler on it also works great with my new 2017 Tri Glide.
