    Default Horn

    My 2015 Freewheeler horn is inoperable. Does it have a circuit breaker or connection that I should check?

    Theres a Tread going in now ; Horn switch' Harley Forum.. Something about that it might be coved under the warranty ...

    Thanks. I will get the dealer to fix it since it is under warranty. I am bad about looking only at Freewheeler Specific posts.

    I had a similar issue a few weeks ago and it turned out to be a broken wire on the blade connector that went to the horn itself.

    I just cut it off and replaced it with a weatherproof one and went about my day.

    Mine was a wire also. I rode to the Harley shop, a mechanic took it in for a few minutes, fixed it, gave it back to me, no charge.

    I realize this is an old post, but I have the same problem for the 3th time. Two weeks ago today I picked up my Freewheeler after having the horn fixed again so I could pass inspection. This time I had to leave it there so they should have been able to fix it properly. The paperwork stated it was the wire, just like last time.

    I haven't ridden in any rain or sprayed any water on it so if they tell me it's the wire again should I ask for proof that they did a diagnostic on the switch and horn or would that be asking for too much?

    It is under warranty, but starting to be annoying.

    You might pose your concern as a comment that you had read about an issue and was wondering if that could possibly be contributing to your problem as well..... Who knows - Might jog someone's memory of the other issue.

    Thanks. I was just concerned that since the wire temporarily fixes it there would be no reason to check the switch or horn and I hate to be unreasonable.

    Actually, I don't want the service writer to know I don't have a clue.

    Let them know that you are concerned about this re-accruing problem and would like to be assured that they are seeking a permanent repair. Let them know you are uncomfortable having to bring it back the 3rd time for the same issue. Horns are generally not an item that needs a lot of attention. Good luck.

    I am in the same boat...have had my horn on the '14 repaired FOUR TIMES under warranty...and it just went out again a few days ago.

    HD has definitely changed the quality of the horn set up in the last few years. Prior to the '14 I've put hundreds of thousands of miles on bikes/trikes with the cowbell horn set up with nary a problem.
