How many miles????

OK, so I have heard a lot of talk about trade it in and get a new one, and to be honest, I am always tempted when I see a new one on the showroom floor (bright shiny objects!), but to be honest, I have put a lot of time and effort (and yes a little money, OK more than just a little) into making this ride my own. My '14 now has 50K miles in 2 1/2 years, and I am planning on a lot more, just wondering how many others out there pile the miles on as opposed to moving on to a new ride on a regular basis. Let's hear it!

Yeah, no... can't compete with that at all! 2015 just over 3000 miles! Man, I've really got to get out and ride more. My work is cutting into my biker lifestyle and that's a bummer!

My 2010 Street Glide trike has 72,231 miles.
Retirement is GREAT !

My last Harley, ultra classic was 8 years old when I sold it, I bought it new. My intentions are to not buy another trike. I am sure when it's 8 years old it should still be going strong. I just hope I will be going as strong as the trike. Jim

I have 36k on my 2013 TRI that I bought 3 years ago this month. Plan on staying with her. Nothing introduced yet that is making me want a new one. I have her modified to fit my desires.

Really, I would swear I woulda' done those miles if my TG didn't spend half its life in the shop. The '10 TG is at a paltry 104k. My '04 FLH is at 124k (used as backup).

It's nice to have a backup to ride.
I have the Dealer service mine every 5,000 miles and I wait til they finish or pick it up next morning. The only time they had it longer was waiting for the insurance adjuster to inspect it and only the extended warranty work.

I'm with you all the way. My new bike is an '87 FLHTC with about 34k in very good condition. Converting to Trike now. I fully expect it will outlive me!

Mine rides with me almost all the time... but she still manages to make a list! Fortunately for me, a lot of the list is where to go on our next ride! Just got back from a week in NC and TN mountains. Unfortunately, that meant going back to work... well, retirement is not far down the road, then every day is the weekend

I pile the miles on, but I get to split them up between 3 rides, so it keeps the miles on each ride down a bit.

I would still be riding my 2011 TG, except at 50K+ miles a dealer offered me too good of a trade-in to pass it up.

My one of a kind Sporty is going to be hard to ever part with....same goes for my Softail Heritage "Deluxe". Although on the Softail, the main thing that really makes it different is the Nostalgic paint on the tins...so it is possible that I would/could get a newer one and take the tins with me to the newer one. Only thing I miss on it is no cruise control.

On the TG, my plan is, once I find out if the '18 are gong to have a new frame...either get a '17 if no new frame, or suck it up and get the '18 when it comes out...IF it has a new frame. This is more for having a current model to use as a test bed for prod. dev.

What are you converting it to? I want to do my 91 FLHS , how ever all manufactures ask WHY !

Heard the same thing, & when I pressed back I was told the conversion to a trike on such an old model would cost more than the bike would be worth, once completed.
