New Highway Pegs Installed On 2017 Tri Glide. These Worked Nice For A Shorter Guy.

I installed the HD long reach highway peg mounts today on my 2017 Tri Glide. I needed the long reach version because I am a shorter guy. These were long enough to put my foot pegs where I needed them. I set them up so I have two useable foot positions. 1st position heal resting on floorboard and top of the foot resting on the highway peg. 2nd position foot up on highway peg off the floorboards. Both of these positions are very comfy for me.

I am very happy with the results. They also tuck up nice when not in use in the down position.

Nice setup....you'll find on long trips can stretch your legs. I have a similar setup, but have my highway pegs as low as they will go on the lowers....ride with heel on floorboards and ties on highway pegs all the time.

In the one pic I can place my heal on the floorboard and the ball or toe on the peg, I really like that. It's nice when we have the ability to set our highway pegs up to our own personal liking.That is what I like about these particular HD mounts available in both long and short length, it's there adjustability.

I have mine set up the same way. I can use the same two positions, but I find that I use the toe on the pegs, heel on floorboards 90% of the time

I am liking that also, since I have a 30 inch inseam, haven't put any on mine yet, will wait until spring, what was the part number on this since my dealer has all kinds of them, was looking at the ones on J & P website, but haven't decided yet.

Trampas these mounts work great, easy install, very adjustable and well designed compaired to some of the after market units.

The HD part# 50829-07A adj highway peg mount,long arm, chrome. The chrome finish is excellent. There is also a set screw to adjust your peg tilt a very nice feature to fine tune your fit. Also the long arm ratchets and locks in place when tightened down, very sturdy. I really like these mounts HD did a good job on these.

My inseam is 31" so we're pretty close. As said these are pretty adjustable and work very well with the lower fairing design on the Tri Glide.

Thanks Bill G for part number, will look the next time at dealer, that saves me time on what to look for, now have to decide if I want to take off the pegs on softail or just buy new since I don't ride the softail that much, I do have the factory rubber pegs from the softail that I could use but they are not what you call good looking, price of pegs are out of sight on price though, what is a few more dollars when you spend this much on a trike to begin with.

Mine set up the same , feels natural with heels on the boards and ball of feet on highway pegs.

Have mine setup pretty much the same, gives three foot position, floorboards, heal on floorboards and toes on pegs and then all the way out on just foot pegs. Real nice on longer trips....I wouldn't be without them.

I also use the above setup. However, I discovered another position. My legs are long enough to rest them one at a time on top of the lowers. A good way to literally stretch my legs...
