Which Windshield

Would like to replace shield on my 02 Wing with a factory OEM or one that is very similar to OEM. The one on it is a touring style which is longer than stock and last owner tried to install vent and its a little boogerd up. OEM is $293 from local dealer. Any suggestions on a good replacement?

Personally I would stay away from the oem. They scratch to easily and you can't just clean them with regular cleaners. Take a look at the Optic Armor or the F4. Just my 2 pennies.

I have an F-4 on the trike. I modded it a little to suit, chopped top 1-1/2" and blended the side at top corners, been a good shield for 7-8 years now. No scratches.

It's made of GE Lexan MR-10 hardcoated. NASCAR uses the same material, just in a thicker version. Good stuff and they'll put a vent in it I think.

I took my scrap and did some testing to see how much bending it would take.

F4 for sure!

You can use paper towels on them without a scratch plus they have excellent optical clarity. They are a sponsor here on Trike Talk....look them up!

My F4+4 tinted/vented was the absolute best shield I've ever had Along with the Baker mirror wings I installed took care of buffeting my wife was having.

I've owned several brands. Spend the extra bucks and buy an F4.. You'll never need another one, I promise. Besides, stock Wing windshields are garbage. Too thin and too small

F4+2 here, tinted w/ vent. I'm 5'9" and when it is all the way down, I can see over the top in the rain - a real plus! Otherwise, it can be put in the full up position for more wind protection, which the better half likes (keep momma happy!)

Great how Windex and paper towels can be used to clean it. Much more resistant to scratches than other w/s that I have had.

I have a stock height Memphis Shade with vent on Tweety ... really like it. I prefer to look over the shield.

Vent is also a must for me. Need air on those hot days!

Coming from a stratoliner with just a standard Yamaha shield I probably didn't realize how much air I was getting from around it. Having bought my 1st GW just 2 weeks ago & not having rode it much let alone in hot weather a vent is probably good idea.

I find the vet to be a must too ... in the winter I just crack it to take the low pressure area away behind the shield ... I get less buffeting that way. In the Summer it stays wide open for the same reason and air flow to help keep me cool.

If yea don't need a vent- u close it

why not get a vent- believe me it does come in handy during those very hot riding days... It's like a fan blowing on u

You might consider an OEM tall. It's about 2.5" taller then an OEM one, and they come cut for a vent. Below is the part number for a tall-vented windshield and list price is about $80 less.

Today a fellow rider wanted to show me his melted dash. I was expecting to see gage/needle damage, but instead he showed me this. My first question was "did you have an aftermarket windshield ???" His answer was "yes."
