    Exclamation Electronic Throttle Control

    The ETC unit is in the handgrip ( I think). Does anyone know how to repair or replace the ETC. I found that the owners manual describes the symptoms I am experiencing with my 2013 Tri Glide...my ETC goes into the "forced throttle mode." Now that I found out why, Next is what to do about it?<br />
    I could use some advice.

    That link didn't help, I saw after the post.

    REMOVING THE TWIST-GRIP-SENSOR
    The TGS consists of 2 pieces, the TPS and extension harness.
    Remove the throttle grip by loosening and removing the screws from the control switch housing. The grip slides off ... but .... you need to unplug the harness extension before removing the TGS from the h-bar.

    The harness extension is located behind the handlebar risers. The harness exits the h-bar between the two risers. Unplug the extension and use a zip-tie or piece of wire to hold the extension socket should it get pulled into the bar before you gain access to the plug from the TGS to the extension harness. Pull the TGS from the h-bar until the plug is visible.

    CAUTION
    The plug for the TGS and the extension harness is very delicate so be careful not to damage the little lock. I usually will tape the plug to ensure it doesn't come unplugged from vibration.

    Not having any issues with my '10 TG. Just always on lookout for problems.

    I think he is referring to LIMP MODE ... won't throttle up over 2,000 rpm's.
    ECM safety default so it won't go WFO..............

    Smile Electronic Throttle Control follow up

    Last year, it turned out that the electronic throttle control was working fine...the problem was with the intake throttle body, the actual sensors that are on the throttle body were malfunctioning. It was diagnosed by Harley in Milwaukee, fixed because it had EPA repercussions, under warranty. Thank the Lord!
