Was doing a fluid change on my trike when I noticed the oil plug looked crooked. After inspection the magnet came right off, kind of scary since it would go no place good. After some research for replacement plugs settled on these Dimple magnets replaced all three. They really do pick up a large wrench where the H-D ones wouldn't even hold them self up. Anyway I figure the price is worth piece of mind. Thought I would share.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Ouch, watch out for the air cleaner bolt it is aluminum, not like the old steel ones, mine broke the head off like it was 2 pieces

I have found out over the years that you can get alot of Plugs, bolts, etc. from the auto store alot cheaper or even the local Hardware store. Just bring the item into them and you may be surprised that they really do carry the same thing. HD means Double the Price when you go to their store. just sayin---------------

Point of post was not price or if H-D cost more or less but the quality of the part. The 3 hole drain bolts from H-D all have magnets on them to help clean metals out of the oil. Since one they are so weak they can not even hold them self to a piece of metal with out falling, not very strong. Second if the magnet is only held in by a pin and can come lose and travel thru the motor, Ouch. Yes I paid 80 bucks for 3 drain bolts a 1000 times stronger and with a guarantee not to ever come apart. I like to save on shinny stuff just like everyone, but when it comes to my motor I spare no expense. After all the motor is 24 years old and still going strong.
