I just love to hunt mushrooms.

We usually see ours around our spring turkey season in April. I can't find them when I go out looking for them.
When we lived in Kansas, mushrooms were a big thing. The desert has a hard time keeping enough moisture to grow mushrooms. Jim

Years ago, I worked on a cattle ranch, and one of my duties was to run off trespassers who were usually "shrooming." I would tell them that I didn't mind them so much as long as they didn't damage the fences or spook the cattle, but if "Junior" or "Hoss" caught them, things wouldn't go very well for them, as these plowboys had an affinity for slender young city slickers. Of course "Junior" and "Hoss" were fictional, but I liked seeing the wide-eyed fear in their faces...LOL!
