Another idea.Raise the front up.Like on a car ramp. And tie the pedal down.Just throwing ideas at ya.

"Removing the body sounds more scary than it actually is but just takes patience and some wrenches. you will need some help reaching bolts and lifting the shell.
I can have mine off in a hour or so.
If you lift the shell plan to take time to adjust drive belt etc."

A trick I learned for installing/removing body without help. I found a cheap stamped steel 9/16" wrench long enough that it wouldn't spin around in the tunnel and tack welded it to a bolt and fender washer. Just reach in and insert bolt wrench combo into the hole, install a nut and washer from below and tighten with air socket wrench. You wouldn't need someone to hold bolt from turning.

Just for fun if you can find a way with the bleeders closed use a bungee to tie the pedal down.Leave it overnight and see what it does.I've used this method successfully on fronts before and I think I used it on the rear of my Champion but not 100% on that.

I tried as you suggested again, since I had bled so much. Before the pedal would fade over time. Last night until this evening it didn't. Not sure what that indicates, more air and residual valve is ok????? I hope that to be the case. Tomorrow when help is plentiful I will continue bleeding.

Guys/Gals, this has become ridiculous now! I have used a lot of fluid bleeding these confounded brakes. At this advanced age I am thinking seriously of taking it in where my problem can be solved. If I don't get by this pm, in she goes. $$$$$ DW was correct when referring to residual valve replacement when she stated " it is going into the shop". Now I wish she had included "bleeding" as well!

Finally! After today I have a strong 1/2 pedal. Easy to slide wheels on non-pavement surface. I read somewhere to tap pedal when rolling backward to keep brakes in adjustment. Also read to slide foot off pedal letting back pressure to head toward master cylinder after using brakes to help purge air back to master cylinder. Never heard of the latter before.

Congrats on getting the brakes working.This hasn't been mentioned yet check the routing of the hose from the reservoir to the master. Mine wasn't quite right and when I changed it my pedal stays high.Before it wasn't always there and had to be pumped once to get the pedal up.May not have anything to do with your problem but worth a look.

Would you explain further? Even though I have good brakes the 1/2 pedal annoys me.

My pedal used to be low at different times.Its been awhile now and I don't remember specifics other than a few pumps would get me almost a full pedal.I was rerouting the line going to the rear and had the install instructions pulled up and noticed the hose from the reservoir to the master was routed differently than instructed and there was a slight kink if I remember correctly.Since I changed it my pedal stays up.Another thing to look at is the pedal adjustment just be careful if you get it to high it cause lockup but too low may keep you from getting enough pedal.I downloaded the install instructions from the Champion site.

I checked mine by assembly instruction and it appears to be correct, but thanks for mentioning this.

No problem. Sometimes when things just won't go right backing up checking fro. The beginning is a good idea.Tnhats sort of where I was headed with that.Just don't go after too many things at once.
