Kuryakyn Handlebar Risers

First off I did not know there were handlebar risers made for Goldwings till I saw a set sold on here. I have researched the Kuryakyn risers and reviews are very good. As far as fitment would my 6.5 degree of rake on my trike interfere in any way once they were installed. At 5'8" I'm short in the reach to handlebars and would need the max amount of pullback the kit would offer.

Anyone else have these installed on a trike? Would like to hear your feedback.

If I were you I would used the adjustable risers made by Rocky, these risers rise the bars, plus set them back & are adjustable in & out. I had them on my trike with a 6 degree rake & had no problems.

I've got the Kury risers on my 1800 trike with a 5.5 rake kit and no problem with them. I'm 6'2" and have a custom seat that sets me back 1.5" so the riser kit works very nice for me. I don't feel like I am reaching for the handle bars any more.

Part of my reach problem is I'm 5'8" and my seat is the Ultimate which going off part # on bottom is for taller riders setting them back farther. May end up selling ultimate & get stock seat also.

I have the Kury risers on my 06 and I wouldn't leave home without them. They are well worth the money.
I am also 5'8".

Don't remember how long it took to install the risers. I'm thinking it took about 1 hour. You don't need to lengthen the cables or hoses to install them. Go on Kury's web site and you can get the instructions to install them.

I went with the 5.5 rake on my new trike (recommended by my builder) so I really don't know any better and I took my bike out today for the first time since triked..........All's i can say is that I loved the ride..Yeppie let the ride begin..
First ride today on a trike (All's i can say it was wonderful)

Install was under an hr. Throttle cables a bit stretched but did not effect idle when turned full left to right. You can still use the plastic cover over fork tubes. Just get longer bolts and plastic spacers found at Lowe's or Home Depot

I am 5'-7" so I too had difficulty in finding a comfortable position when on the trike. I got the risers with set back and couldn't be happier. They are adjustable so once you find the proper set they are wonderful. Wouldn't want to ride without them. One of the best additions I put on the trike.

I have a set on my 08WING/Roadsmith with 6 degree rake. No problem with cables. Bout an hour or two installation. RIDE SAFE

I put the Kury risers on our 2004 'Wing. It's been a while, but I don't remember any problem with cables - I did move them slightly, but longer cables weren't needed at all. Also no interference with the dash parts with our 4.5° rake kit. I did other things in the dash area while I was in there so I can't comment on time of install. Another thing i haven't seen mentioned yet about the Kuryakyn risers was that they are adjustable and move the bars in different positions depending how they are installed.

At the handle bar source, point the cables along the side of the handle bar,
Not under the bar where the hanger is, as it gets pinched in a tight turn.
A dealer will hang them under the bar in the hanger, as it looks like Honda wants it there. That doesn't mean its better.Over or under brake line is OK.
Mine was crushed from being under, and now its on the side.
I machined risers that separate raise and move back the bars.
Separating gives more leverage. I didn't like the way others looked.
