Now I know there have been several threads on this but just want to say what I heard from 3M. I know people have glued theirs on, some of you have bolted them on. I told 3M want I wanted to do without drilling holes, they don't recommend the dual lock fasterner for a mud flap, they recommend the 3M glue and that is a permanent fix so if you traded you could not get it off to easy. With the dual lock or bolt on you could take it off for your next trike, just a thought.
Ok, for the ones that have the dual lock fasterner is it holding up, I have seen serveral people say that is what they are going to use this for their mud flaps and if you have need your take on this.
From the discussion with 3M yesterday I might just go ahead and drill the holes but I will wait until I see what people say about this. I know 3M said you could be going down the road with the dual lock fasterner and it could come off so you are of money and mud flap there, it is a catch can situation I guess.
All for now Trampas
P.S. I know a friend of mine said when he was on his ultra with 2 other triglides they was throwing up road crap, so he had to back off or he was in the lead from then on. So mud flaps on a trike work the way they should I guess, since the tires on a trike are kicking up road debris since the trike fender does not come down far enough to prevent this, with cars and trucks you have the body fender wells keeping it down a little and I know sometimes it still happens
