You have to get them to sync to the can bus system. Turn on your four ways and let them flash for several minuets. That's what I had to do.

any part numbers from walmart?
Thanks MikeyTX that worked. Part #3157.
My H-D dealer couldn't find that # either. They ordered me a Brite-Lites 3157.
Khinson the # is a3157 in with all the replacement bulbs. any parts store will have them.
Yeah, DS changed it to some other number...and they don't have the other number in stock now, nor do they have a date when they will.
We have some of this #33-1268 & #33-1359
They just arrived this afternoon, and I just finished testing both of them. The 33-1359 is identical visually, and light output wise as the DS #2060-0201
The #33-1268 is a bit larger, and is advertised as being brighter, but it is not any brighter.
Those of you that have emailed me, I will be getting back with you tomorrow, now that we have them in.
Kevin
I found these at auto parts both are 3157leds
The Philips looks like there the brightest but only shine out to the back
The other has lights around the sides and the back. are any of u guys
using one or the other of these?
Also use red or clear (white)

I just purchased the ones at Walmart, LED'S for 14.95 gives you a pause but these are much brighter then stock, now lets see how long these will last.
I tried the first ones you have pictured. They did not put out much light.
The second ones you have pictured are similar to the ones I'm currently running.
The ones I have are RED LED's. The red ones will look brighter, even inside a red lense, than the white ones.
Here's a photo of the ones I'm running-
There are a lot of choices for plug-in LED's for the HD Trikes out there. There are fewer choices that fit the low profile laydown lenses...which is what I have.
Kevin
Thanks Kevin. I tried these but they don't seem any or as bright as the stock bulbs.
The brand is pilot super bright led out put is I think is only 15w. In the pkg they are brite
when u press the sest button, but in the trike Im not impressed. May just saty with the stock ones for now.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the clear one because they look much brighter in the store when I pressed the test button. Maybe thats my mistake, guess I can try the red ones.

Got an update today on the #33-1359 Red LED Drop-in lights. They are being discontinued. We have the last 12 coming our way.
So that is now 3 companies that have discontinued them. Not sure if a "newer" replacement is in the works, or if these inexpensive bulbs are falling by the technological wayside. More and more companies are only carrying the big clusters of LED's, which of course require the purchase of a totally different lens also. Bigger bucks to upgrade to LED.
Time will tell.
Kevin
I purchased a pair from Kevin, although I am happy with the Walmart 14.95 pair, I have my doubts on quality, you can't expect much for 14.95, but so far these have exceeded my expectations.
I found a good use for the 3157 I bought for the trike and didn't like them. Well it turns out the back up light in my Mustang is a 3157, so I put in the 3157 LED and its much brighter and I can see more when backing up. Now what to do with the other one, maybe just a spare.

After reading this thread on LED tail lights I decided to try the ones from Walmart. I tried both the red ones and the white ones. The red ones had a more truer red color while the white ones had a slight orange color to them (both through the tail light lens). For me (and to my eyes) both were about the same brightness as the stock light bulb for the running light portion. As for the brake/turn function, neither were anywhere close to the stock bulb in brightness. My test was with a stock bulb in one tail light and an LED in the other so I could compare side by side. Trike was in the garage while I stood back about 30' on the driveway on an overcast day to get the same view someone following me would get while my wife activated the brakes and turn signals. I won't use these because of the lower light output for the brake/turn portion which is much too important to me. Walmart is good on returns so I'll take these back and look for something else. Good info on this thread though - thanks.
You discovered what I did. Finally spent the money on the good ones from H-D. At least the light pattern matches the wraparound light bar on tour pack.
