I've been riding for over 40 years. Due to medical reasons, life left me with two choices either to stop riding or a three wheels motorcycle. Since I truly love H-D motorcycles, I brought a H-D trike seven months ago. It is a 2010 trike. She was in great shape. Everything was going great until I ran into some rain. After the ride, I parked her. The next morning I went to pull out the stuff inside the trunk to my surprise it was wet.

Now I'm trying to find out where she is leaking. Your input is truly appreciated.

Welcome to Trike-Talk...Can't help to much on your leak, I do remember some early Tri-Glides had a problem with the seal/gasket on the top box..Maybe a search will help...

I have a '10 TG also. I would try spraying water around the door. There might be some drains on bottom also that water might get up into when splashing through puddles.

Oh, and say hi to Olive Oyl for me. Screw Wimpy though. He still owes me for a hamburger I bought him. The bastard said he would pay me the following Tuesday. Lying weasel.

2009/10 models were notorious for having bad seals on the trunk. I had on my 2009 replace three times under warranty.

I'll assume you mean the kit trunk, not the tourpack, though finding a leak up there is about the same process. Start with the seals around the trunk door - take a hundred dollar bill (HD does stand for Hundred Dollars, doesn't it? OK, a dollar bill,) and close the trunk on it. It should be hard to pull it out. If it isn't, there is a very good chance the seal is leaking at that point. do this around the perimeter of the trunk lid. also check anywhere there may be wires or bolts coming through into the trunk. Other than that, grommets could be loose, rubber washers may not be sealing, the latch may be loose or who knows what else.

A friend had a mystery leak in his trunk. He emptied it out, and taped up paper towels all around the inside of the trunk. He then sprayed all around the outside, underneath from the front and back and under the tourpack. He found the leak in a bolt hole,but it was running down and back so it looked like a leak around the trunk door, because that was the area stuff was getting wet.
