Who rides a factory stock trike

Ok, how many ride a trike that is factory stock, with cats, with stock mufflers, with stock air cleaner, no EBS, no tuners of any kind, no download of any kind from harley, everything stock just from the factory motor wise.

I'm not talking about bars, backrest and everything else you can put on, that is more of a comfort thing for personal taste.

I know harley's run lean from the factory, just curious how many ride their trikes in stock form from the factory, right now I am.

If you do, post the year of trike and how many miles just out of curiousity, mine is a 2016 with 3,400 miles give or take.

Ok, flame away, from what I have seen on here as member, there isn't that many with a stock motor, just curious, I may be surprised.

I do. 2013 bought new Oct 2012. not sure about mileage w/out going to the garage. regardless, I had/have no plans of doing engine upgrades. stock works well for me.

I rode my '11 TG bone stock for about 5000 miles.

Every other bike I've had never got past 100 miles before I made some changes to it.

I do, '16 with about 4K miles. I figure I have enough $$$ tied up in it without putting a bunch of stuff on it that is not necessary. That being said I will probably make some changes to better accommodate my ego after about 10K miles.

I put 50 miles on my original motor prior to changing the entire motor/TB/Clutch/etc.!! In my opinion the OEM motor does not have enough torque to move/accelerate the Trike either from a stop or from 60mph - 80mph passing. Neither of us are heavy weights either (165 me and 125 wife), plus any trip luggage!!

2015 TriGlide with 8000 miles on it. As is from the factory. Test drove the newer 2017. Harley did address what I have been bitchin about, lack of power on the high end. As oldprowler said, I have enuff cash into this bike and have no plans to do any upgrades to the engine.....for now

Or do a trade in for a GoldWing/RoadSmith trike.

Did 14.5k on a stock 2016 TC103 TGU then traded it in to currently have 2.2k on a stock 2017 M8 TGU.

Stock 2016 with around 2000 mi. on her, no plans to change anything yet, but maybe some Cool Master fans before summer, if they don't void my warranty.

Kept mine bone stock until I tested my friends 16 with stage 1, apples to oranges, started my stage one upgrade as soon as i got off his bike, acceleration and power was a huge difference compared to my stock machine.

I guess one would have to test ride a bike with mod's.

We see a LOT of bikes and trikes. There really are a lot of them where the engine is bone stock. I think on the forums the folks that make changes are more "vocal" so that gives a bit of a skew to the perception that there is a higher % that make changes than really exists.

I don't have any hard figures...but my WAG is that about 50% of the Harley's out there have had no changes made to the engine.

Of the folks that have made changes, another WAG is that 75% or more have only done a Stage I upgrade (air cleaner, tuner, exhaust).

The Twin Cams do run a bit lean, and very hot.

Surprisingly, the one M8 we tested was NOT running lean from the factory, although it still had some heat issues.

A few years back i was looking at used Harley's, And what i found out is a ''stock'' used Harley is an oxymoron...When i traded my Stock 2013 Sportster' For a new 2015 Victory' The first thing the dealer did when they put the Sportster on the showroom floor was to add a full set of pipes and an performance air cleaner to it..

Our 2017 Tri Glide is bone stock and runs great and I really don't plan on changeing much.
