Wow!
Saturday afternoon when I parked the bike, it was 92*.
This morning, riding to work, it was 48*.
44* swing in temps in 36 hours.
Tonight is looks like it's gonna be down around 40*.
Been swapping between the mesh jacket and the leather jacket for a few weeks, but looks like not many warm days left this year.

2024 Tri Glide! Only modifications so far - transferred Rider backrest from old 2015 Freewheeler, just added highway pegs!
44* when I rode up to Memphis this morning.
Used my heated jacket liner and was toasty warm. Sure am glad Mary got me to try it out a few years back.
Makes it easy to stay warm, all the way down into the 20's.

Went and picked up a parts bike today.
Totally forgot to take pictures of it before we loaded, & after it was loaded on the trailer.
Did remember to take a pic after we got it unloaded and into the container.
Got it for $100
It's an R1000, and the forks are good...they will end up on some future build.
Yoshimura exhaust is good...not sure what we'll use it on, but it's cool.
Both master cylinders will be used on some builds.
Not sure what else we'll scavenge from it...Devin is talking about using the engine in a go-cart.
Kevin
This afternoon Devin and I are spending some time with a 2018 Tri-Glide.

Weatherman says today and tomorrow are probably last nice days of the year. Hope he's wrong, but today became winter change over day. List of things to do:
Mow yard one last time.
Move Dyna from trailer to garage.
Put battery in snow brush, move it from trailer to shed until snowfall, then move to garage.
Prep mower for winter, park in trailer.
Prep generator for winter.
Tell boy he can park Mustang in trailer for winter.
I'm hoping for some more riding yet so Dyna and FW prep will be later.
So I head out to the shed to fire up the lawnmower and... Flat Tire!
Back to the garage, pull the FW off the lift, and limp the mower in.
Tire shop says one hour for the tire, so back home and move Dyna, move snow brush, and prep generator.
Tire's back on, go cut grass:
Grass cut, mower put away for winter, FW back where she belongs, riding tomorrow!
I think my phone sucks at taking pictures...
Busy at the home shop this afternoon...
...just installed some 14" TSS shocks/CCLK on this 2018 Tri-Glide...
...went for a test ride on it, noticed the miles as I came back...
...Rides like a dream!
Kevin
I got a bit discombobulated following your post.
Sucks about not being able to ride during the winter, hope you have a bunch more days that are good still.
Couple of questions for you-
1. How big is that trailer that all this stuff is going in & out of?
2. What is a snow brush, and why does it use a battery? Might be common knowledge up north...but snow is a novelty down our way.

It's like musical chairs every spring and fall around here.
The trailer is a 8.5x24 enclosed car trailer. It has the black and white checkerboard tile floor, e track in floor and on walls, built-in cabinets, and AC-DC lights. Got it used for about half price of a new one. It's a garage in the summer and a storage unit in the winter.
The snow brush is this:
A Bercomac rotary brush mounted on a 21 horse lawn tractor. When I park it for the summer I pull the battery and use it on the tank sprayer.
I live on a corner lot, my son lives next door. there's about 250' of sidewalk and 100' of driveway to clear. We worked our way up from shovels to blades to snowthrowers, both walk behind and mounted, to the brush. It clears everything off down to clean concrete. It handles snow up to 3-4". We have a skid steer for anything deeper.
Winter is my busy time of the year. I have a winter projects list that never seems to get smaller...
It rained last night, and there was a light rain falling on the way in this morning.
The roads were nice and wet.
Not sure why, but I still get just as much fun, today, as I did as a kid...
Gassing it in the corners and sliding the rear end around.
I'm not as good as this little girl at drifting...but I wish I was. lol
Kevin
Kevin, Bein from Florida I don't have the fun of gettin to play with snow so I'm wonderin what a "skid steer" is? Thanks for the info.
I used to live in Cincinnati, but the most I got to play with there was a snow blower.

I had an appointment first thing this morning up in Memphis.
Around 10:30, while leaving this appointment, some cager (probably texting) was tailgating and hit the car in front of them, then lost control and went off the road.
Within 3-4 minutes there were 4 Fire Trucks, an ambulance and 3 police cars.
I was on my TG, watching for a while...traffic was still backed way up when I left.
Be careful out there!
Kevin
Not gonna be posting here for a few days....
Going camping!
Kevin
Have a fun trip! I hope your weather is better than ours. 74 degrees yesterday, took the dyna out for a nice spin. Got up this morning and -
yep, that's snow on the roof. 29 degrees now, good day to hibernate...
