    Good idea. I didn't think of a stone guard. Should be easy enough to make one to put on and take off as needed. Before I place a front wheel chock, I will be doing some weight testing on the tongue weight to see exactly where to put it. Thanks to all for mentioning that. I've found a site that the author has described a method for using a bathroom scale to figure the weight distribution. Pretty interesting, but I will test it out before trusting the method. But then again, if it's on the internet it must be true----right?

    The bathroom scales will work let us know what you find out. Triglides are almost balanced that is why the lift kits work so well to improve handling it adds weight to the front tire to keep it better planted. An inch or so movement on the trailer will make huge differences in tongue weight. very important to safe towing. Good luck nice trailer. ride safely Fred

    Great job on your trailer! I used a bathroom scale to get tongue wt between 10 & 12%. When you are setting this up, think about where your spare tire (or anything else) will go in/on the trailer in addition to the trike & chock. I have used a Condor for years, used the clam with the 2 wheelers but do not use the clam part with the trike. I just use a couple ratchet straps & E trac through the front wheel (which is tight against the Condor's upright post).

    Positioning....always the issue. The Center weight on your trike is about a 10-12" forward of the front of the fender. At least that is where the bike sits on the J&S Jack and it's straight. So it looks to me that it's maybe just a bit back of where it needs to be on the pic in your original post. Not sure how I feel about the 10-16% of the weight distribution thing. In my opinion {MY OPINION} it's more about the weight on the tongue. But that's me.....jc

    Have my trike all the way forward on a 16' open trailer with one road glide behind it.

    We have been using a Wheeldock since we got the 1st Wing trike in 2004. Really like it, thinking of getting another for the toyhauler as the trike and my Triumph Bonneville are going in there. The front wheel locks in, I put a strap around the wheel and the chock for security and tie the back end to the trailer with 2 ratchet straps from the hitch.

    Saw this on another forum. Apparently it is called a Bolt-It-On rack system. It connects to the trailer by J hooks to D rings, seems to be adjustable and looks like it would be pretty easy to make. Haven't looked up the website, just saw it as I was researching chocks for the toyhauler.

    Took a while to get time to do my weight testing. Trailer weighed in alone at 1190 lbs with 140 lb tongue weight. Believe it or not, where the trike is sitting in the picture puts a 12% tongue weight on the setup. The difference between 10% and 12% was about an inch of travel. The wife was giving me a bit of the stink-eye when I told her I was going to use her bathroom scales to weigh the trailer with the trike on it.

    Great follow up I didn't think it would need to go much farther as balanced as the trikes are. It would depend how much gear you have stored in the trunk and tourpack . Now make bride happy and buy her a fancy set of scales just because. Thank you for the follow up. ride safely Fred

    Probably won't happen. I like being married AND eating supper in the house instead of the back porch. One thing not hinted at or discussed in this house is weight.
