Sears Yellow Jack ?

Anyone try this jack just to raise the rear of the Tri, I have one and want to ask before trying it, Not the whole bike just the rear to put jack stands under the axle ? Thanks Doc

Doc, You don't need it for that task. simply use a decent hydraulic floor jack that you can pick up at Harbor freight for about $70 and place a large piece of 2x4 (maybe 8" long and placed along the cross support) on top of the floor jack lift part and place the jack on one of the rearmost trunk cross supports. If you don't use the 2x4, you run the risk of slightly indenting the cross brace that you find on the underside of the Tri Glide trunk. Then, install your jack stands with some cardboard on top of them to not scratch your axles and there you go.

JC, You bring up a situation that I had forgotten about. On my 2017 TGU, there is definitely a bias of weight on the left side. The equilibrium wasn't too bad until we were futzing with putting on a tire and my neighbor bumped the trike while it was suspended on only the jack. It started an oscillation that absolutely made me freak. However, we stopped the oscillation and it was fine. Just raising it to block it with someone acting as a safety person would be a good idea.

I ALWAYS use two ratchet straps from the jack's front axle shaft to the rear of the jack.

I have 3 of these...I use them to store my 2 wheelers on. The trike I put in a car bag for storage.

I have been happy with them..the price has not changed in 10years according to the link the OP put in.

When I work on the bikes/trike I use a pitbull jack. Much sturdier in my opinion.

I already own this jack and have used it on 2 wheel bikes, I have just tried it on the trike and it will lift the trike but scary as it is a narrow jack, I will us it to lift the front and a car jack for the read which I already have also. Thanks For the Help Doc.
