on either side of my trike I have Eye bolts
I lock the helmets to there
Hello All, I am wondering where you put your helmets when you park and go into a store or something. When traveling you have your trunks full of stuff. On my 2 wheeler we have helmet locks under the trunk but with the trike I don't think there is room there. Right or wrong? We fly in to pick up our trike tonight and am just curious.

On my two wheeler i use a locking device called Helmet Guardian.. Google it...It bolts on to the license plate frame... And locks two helmets..
With my Tri-Glide i travel light, Solo..So sometimes i just put it in the top box, But most times i just leave it on the seat...

We bought a couple keyed alike locks and locked our helmets to the handle bars before.
Doesn’t take much to “lock em”.
It depends on if we know the area and if it is safe. A lot of times I put mine over the GPS to hide it and my wife lays hers on the seat. If we don't know the area there is a product called lid locks that are available for GoldWings now that fit on the ends of the handlebars in place of the weight that locks the helmet by the D-ring. They work great as long as it isn't raining. The lid locks still work in the rain but helmets will hold water.
If I'm that worried about the area I'm stopping in, I'll just carry my helmet with me.

Goldwing trunks all have helmet holders
I, also, have left my helmet over the gps. So far, have never had one stolen, helmet or gps. I'm sure that the time will come when some jay bird will rip it off. I have always wondered how the "smokey" will react when he stops me for riding without a helmet on the way to buy a new one. Will he not believe me and issue a ticket??? Bet he will.
I never pack the top box of my Tri-Glide so full I can't put my helmet in it. I do however wear a half helmet (it doesn't take up much room).

I picked up one of the Reda helmet locks in Sturgis a couple years ago.....works great ! I put the cable thru the helmet D rings, put the helmet in the passenger seat and put the ball in the tour-pac.

A couple years back we ended up riding thru Canada for a couple hundred miles. Somebody happened to remember Canada has a helmet requirement. We found a RCMP and had him write us a warning ticket. He was very nice about it. He said "guess you guys are on your want to buy helmets, right!!!! RIGHT !!!!

I just put it on my floorboard over my shifter. It is only an inexpensive 1/2 helmet 2x. I doubt it would ever get stolen. If it did and I was far from home I would ride anyway until I found a new helmet to purchase. I wonder if I got ticketed would they let me ride on.
Anyone use the Reda on a Goldwing. My trunk fit between top lid and bottom is pretty tight.
I usually carry my helmet, but I have a cable gun lock if I need to leave it.
Try http://lidlox.com/ . We use ours all the time. Don't need to use storage space.
