Where to put helmets

I usually carry my helmet, but I have a cable gun lock if I need to leave it.

This is what I use . . . a lock that came with a gun purchase.

I sit it on one of the mirrors. Been doing that for years.

That is what I did for years riding on two wheels. We put them in the trunk of our CSC trike now. Plenty of room in there!

If I'm at Walmart.. I put the helmet in the top box.... Anywhere else i just leave it on the seat....

Kuryakyn makes a similar bar end for their iso grips. The iso grip is always the first accessory I install, keeps my little hands from going num.

I use a pistol cable gun lock to lock both helmets around the post of my back rest on my Wing's seat. You can usually get one free at sheriffs or forestry office. If that fails message any gun maker and they will probably send you a free one.

I just go to a bicycle store and get a cheap combination lock bicycle chain. they are usually rubber coated and work great. But I also frequently forget to bring the chain so I just leave it on the seat. 50+ years and no one has bothered it yet.

Like I said, the gun lock has a plastic or rubber coated cable and the price is right, no need for a chain and just add the key to your bike key ring.

Walmart or somewhere like that, in the trunk it goes. If my trunk is packed on a trip or something of that nature, I carry it with me. Most times on a trip about the only time it's off my head is when I get where I'm going or at a gas station or restaurant. Gas station, no big deal. I take it off and park it on the seat. Restaurant, I take it in and put it on a chair. If I'm where I'm going, the trunk usually gets the gear emptied out and in it goes if need be. The rest of the time I'm carrying it. I have on occasion put it over a mirror or on the seat if I feel it's safe for it to be there. I suppose if I was using a cheap helmet I wouldn't care where I put it, but I like having a good helmet and a good helmet costs good money so I try to watch out for it.

Hello All, I am wondering where you put your helmets when you park and go into a store or something. When traveling you have your trunks full of stuff. On my 2 wheeler we have helmet locks under the trunk but with the trike I don't think there is room there. Right or wrong? We fly in to pick up our trike tonight and am just curious.

We just lay them on the seats that seems to work for us so far . I grew up in a house where our doors were never lock , day or night . Those days are over , hopefully our helmets will be safe .
