Passenger hand rails

I'm glad I saw this thread. Was looking for some covers for the passenger hand rails for my 17 TG, but according to the HD parts catalog the 91668-05 only fit up to the 13 models. But since I saw this thread and I found out that they would fit, I went and ordered a set. I hope they work and provide some better comfort for the Mrs. Thanks

Wife and I loving the Tri glide. She likes the handrails but would like to have a cushion on the metal part. I know Harley makes a metal with plastic cover but not digging it.

I was wondering if someone here has made a cover and if so what materials. I'm thinking along the lines of foam insulation for pipes and covering it with leather or vinyl of some sort. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Richard.

If it's a vinyl wrap, contact Gatorwraps, they wrap all kinds of crazy things and lettering decals. You might also want to check Gatorprints.

Its been mentioned a couple times but be sure and get the proper tap and trace out the threads. They are tapped prior to plating and the chrome gets in the threads making it difficult to get the set screw in properly.

Wow $160.00 and all I spent was $0. and some of my time. I put mine on because out here in the summer time it gets to be a cool 110 plus. To each his own.

$160.00 ??? Don't know what you're pricing but saw them at my Stealership this past weekend for $65.00. Now the complete Kuryakyn setup is $160.00 but that's the complete setup.

I made these out of some composite material and covered them with leather. There aren't squishy soft but they are large enough they are comfortable to hold on to.

Recently added the HD grips ($65) to my 14'. Wife loves them and they do look good. Must say they were a pain to install but if the wife's happy, I'm happy.

Yes, they will fit 2017 Tri Glide.

They sure did. Threading the screws was a pain. Wish I had a thread chaser that size so that I could have cleaned them up first. Other than that all was fine and they look great.
