It will be some time before I wear out the OE tires. Between our crazy weather, 80's yesterday and mid 50 today but windy, and getting back to normal after a mild stroke, I have not been able to ride.

I start out patient therapy Mon at 8:30. Believe me I want to get stable and start riding again. I am thankful I can at least drive the car around without issue.

I am with you there. Hospitals are not a fun place.

Depends on where you ride. Here in the Arkansas twisties we average between 11-13K miles no matter which of the three tires we use; MPA, BT-45 or Cobra Trike. We scrub them off. Those that ride in the flat country normally follow the same pattern but they get 20-30 K miles out of theirs.
My bike ends up wearing out the sidewalls before the bottom tread so I end up with a front tire that looks like a vee. But, heh, I'll pay the price to live and ride where I do.

Oh I understand about AR, I have cousins that live in Brant, not far from Little Rock, love that country, been planning a trip there for four years, I need to get that done. I guess a trike still gives that front tire some scrubbing in the twisties, I think about two wheels doing so much tire scrubbing as in lean.. Living in the flat lands, not much scrubbing going on.
OH YES, for sure. Pushed hard enough, the front tire will start to slip well before the rears .... and it's all on the same part of the tread that you use going in a straight line unlike a bike.
Even on straight roads, rubber squirms as it's compressed at that contact point with the pavement, just not as much.
Good food for thought here. I have a friend, rides with no legs, someone might remember him, he has the new Hannigan front end, with the special tire. The man rides hard and has 77K miles on that front tire, sounds unbelievable. I'm not comparing the Cobra to that, because it apples and oranges, just pointing to that as an interest.
