A friend of mine on my suggestion contacted DK Products about the trike lift. He got the convertible lift and we installed it on his 2012 trike today. Everything went well, basically dealers told him he couldn't have a lift because of his exhaust, not sure what that is about since the exhaust didn't play into it putting it on, guess the dealer didn't want to do it, not enough time on the clock to pay the mechanic.
Anyway it is on, he could have went with a regular lift from DK instead of the convertible one, plenty of room for a regular one, my point is on the convertible one with the 4 holes, look at the picture on the directions, it shows for full lift or the second holes if full lift doesn't work. We ended up putting it in the first hole and the third hole, which amount to 1/4" less of lift, the second hole and fourth hole for a full lift. Look at the picture to determine what you want, I had my side in 2nd and 4th hole and he had his in 1st and 3rd, so I changed mine to be like his since it was his bike, we didn't look at the picture very good, LOL, but everything went together just fine.
I'm sure he will be happy with it since he was running 50lbs of air and still bottoming out sometimes when riding, I'm sure he will experiment with the air and tire pressure to get the best ride.
All for now Trampas
